Casa Galeana- Tropical 1-BD 1-WC Mountain Top Luxury Suite with Stunning Views, hotel in Ajijic

Boasting a garden, an outdoor pool and lake views, Casa Galeana- Tropical 1-BD 1-WC Mountain Top Luxury Suite with Stunning Views is set in Ajijic.

The grounds were gorgeous! 6 or 7 dogs barked and fought all night first and 3ed night. Zero customer service except the guy who finally told us after 20 minutes how to open the gate as we were given the wrong code. Never saw him again. Saw another guy the last night at gate area. Gardner took our keys at check out on last morning. Shower backed up every time. No amenities to speak. No a suite but a big room. Dogs became friendly. Sweet really. We are not excited about dogs necessarily. Beautiful property and pool. While we are seasoned travelers and don’t need to be babysat, it was strange to be there alone. Couldn’t find anyone to give us the WiFi code, ran out of data. Cost me $$$$ to upgrade to bigger plan. Finally maids helped on 3ed day. But received no maid service otherwise. If you are going to use words like “luxury, suite, boutique” you might want to replace the gratis white frayed towels and pay attention to detail. Offer a few little amenities. Should leave property info like WiFi in room.

Abitare Mezcala By Grupo Salazar, hotel in Ajijic

Abitare Mezcala By Grupo Salazar has lake views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Poncitlán. Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with a picnic area.

This property is not suited to be rented as a hotel, as they are too disorganized. I had booked and paid in full 4 months in advance, it was somewhat expensive for what it was. They knew of our reservation as I had had messages to them answered through Booking. But when we arrived they tried to show us to a small trailer! I had to complain and the caretakers had to deal with it by phoning the owner, who then put us into the big house. What if that was occupied? This is a very remote location with no other options around. The big house had towels with large holes in them, no soap, no toilet paper and the bed hurt my back so much I couldn't sleep at all the second night. It did have a lovely view of the lake.

A very lovely and calm place, perfect for relaxing. The pool and the jacuzzi with warm water is just an additional highlight. The house and the panorama is beautiful. Our host, Daniel was also very kind and did an excellent service.

Cannot believe we asked to get upgraded to a room with a kitchen and we got a villa! Maybe because it was our honeymoon as well.

The villa was large, well furnished, albeit rustic. The reception staff tried to be helpful to our situation (see below), but could not bend the rules.

The location is perfect to be in the middle of the hub-bub of the Village Plaza and very walkable to all attractive locations. The restaurant in the hotel is first class. Some of the best meals had there compare to excellent restaurants anywhere in the world. Family run and super friendly and helpful when in need of language assistance and finding taxis, and other assistance. Eric and crew are awesome Inn Keepers.

This is a perfect small boutique hotel run by a lovely Elizabeth. It is elegant without being at all fussy. The rooms are well appointed, the bed comfy. Public spaces are spacious, the pool is very pretty. Breakfasts vary each day with two main dishes, always well prepared and creative. It is in the heart of Ajijic village, walking distance from everything. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff were absolutely lovely, from the breakfast cook to the groundskeeper. Very thoughtful, sweet, friendly and helpful. The grounds around the villas were very well kept and beautiful. The hot pool felt amazing after a long day of biking, and the breakfast was fantastic. About a 20 minute walk to A. The malecón as well as B. A bike rental shop. It was 200 pesos for 24 hrs to rent and the bike lanes from Chapala to Jocotopec are very lovely

The property is beautiful, and expertly landscaped, the villas are spacious, and we had a lovely garden. The swimming pool is in a perfect spot, and because the sun is so strong, you can swim in it even when it’s 21-22 Celsius outside. The breakfast is included (the fact that you’ll have a free breakfast isn’t listed online, but should be), and it’s excellent. It’s very quiet and private, and you never see neighbors except at breakfast.
