We decided to stay here during our visit of Mavrovo National Park, which turned out to be an excellent choice! The property is located in a very quiet and secluded village of Janche, so I would recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the mountains. It's situated directly under the village of Galichnik, which is a perfect starting point for some of the best hikes in the area. It takes about 40 minutes to reach Lake Mavrovo by car. There's a big parking lot right in front of the property. The apartment is well equipped and clean. Definitely would recommend!

Villa Gorno Melnicani is a quaint house with astonishing view of Lake Debar. The hosts were very welcoming, a prime example of Balkan hospitality. Everyone who appreciates pure nature should consider visiting this place.
The garden with the pool and the grill, the balcony with the view on the lake, the several spots in the garden to sit, the fully equipped kitchen, the remoteness of the villa in a small and during our stay mostly deserted mountain village. If you are lucky you'll get company from two sweet dogs, but don't leave any food leftovers in the garden they will make a mess. The host was in Skopje but their parents live very close by and welcomed us warm and friendly.
