Kottawatta Village is a magnificent hotel nestled in the heart of the jungle. The beautiful pool and well-designed spaces make it a perfect retreat. We especially loved the outdoor bathroom. A little paradise on earth! Highly recommended!

This place is such a retreat! The cabins are so luxury with a big bed, perfect aircon and such a cute vibe!! We had such a peaceful sleep here. The pool is gorgeous, a place you can just go to swim and rest. The breakfast is out of this world. So many options and so much food! Even watermelon juice on tap. Felt so lucky at this accommodation. Will be back!

Big, airy room, decent sized, simple bathroom with à good shower. Easy access to a decent sized pool, and a covered bar and dining area. Good lake views from the bar frontage. We arranged for the manager to take us on a local village tour which was fascinating. We met some people from local farming communities as well as observed the thriving herbal medicine cottage industry. Everyone was extremely friendly. Expect monkeys, tree frogs, and many birds in this rural retreat.

The villas are great and scenic. The pool was nice and we had lounge seats and hammocks in front of the villa. We organized our safari through the hotel and it was excellent.

Quiet surroundings. 5-10 minute walk to the main road. Nice balcony on the villas. Pool was an added bonus. Wifi was strong. Cold towel and juice on arrival.

The place is amazing, a silent garden with small villas and a common space where delicious dinner is served! They even helped us with a good breakfast to-go because we left for the safari really early in the morning. The room was so nice and we loved the open shower.

Lots of choice at breakfast. Staff very attentive - special thanks to Ramesh, always helpful and smiling! Swimming pool facilities lovely. They arranged an amazing private safari for us on Valentines Day! Beds comfy and lots of space in the villas. A quick call and you could order drinks to the villa too!

This exceeded my expectations - 2 amazing swimming pools, kids play area, lovely open raised area for food / drinks, friendly staff, great breakfast including hoppers, clean villas with great outside showers! And the safari they organised was icing on the cake - our guide had phenomenal eyes and kids were memorised with the baby elephants!
