At the time of our stay they were building a descent size pool. It would be nice once finished. Private and quite area. Acess to motorways to go down south or Kandy side was easy from nearest town of Piliyandala.

The hotel is just lovely: quiet place, everything is clean, big rooms with AC and fan, good pillows, hot water, TV and a pool, good wifi. We had a long flight, so it was perfect place to stay and have rest. We had very beautiful room on the 1st floor with a little garden. The hotel is not big, so you can feel privacy: I think only our family used the pool))
Very good kitchen, tasty breakfast and other menu.
I would like to say thank you to the staff: they helped us with all the questions we had, starting from the taxi and sightseeing to the help with doctor.
I definitely would recommend this place and will come again when visiting Colombo

The place is really beautiful and very closed to Mount Lavinia hotel and just at the beach front, there is a swimming pool and it is a very quite place to rest and get away to retreat and chill
The Lion Pub is famous in Sri Lanka, located by the Galle Road. The rooms are decent, but the hotel feels a bit empty. Considering its location and price, it's worth it. Amenities include a bed-mounted TV and functional AC. Bathrooms are clean and odor free, and the place feels safe. Clean bed sheets and comfy beds make for a satisfying stay, though it's not a luxury experience.
The host was friendly, informative and had a great vibe. Very accomodating. The villa itself is spacious, bright and had lots of facilities. Super clean.

I’ve stayed at the Villa in Lavinia many times. Since there has been a new manager it has gotten even better. Great location (just outside the city centre (which can be very noisy and crazy) in a nice, calm neighbourhood. The staff are super friendly and helpful and everything is very clean and nicely decorated. A boutique favourite for a very reasonable price.
I have travelled all over the world and I have stayed in a wide range of places from luxurious to poor and the Ranveli would certainly fall into the latter category. Really not much to like.
