There were floats and water guns, and the children were very happy.
There was a washing machine and they also lent me a rope to dry my clothes, which was very helpful.

Our stay at the Summer House was short but truly memorable! After a delayed flight, we didn’t arrive until 2 am, yet the housekeeper was there to warmly welcome us and show us to our rooms. Despite his limited English, his kindness and dedication shone through, making us feel at home right away.
The rooms were spotless, tidy, and comfortable—everything you’d want after a long journey. The real standout, though, was breakfast. At the time, we didn’t fully appreciate just how extraordinary the coconut sambal was, as it was our first day in Sri Lanka. However, after two weeks of trying sambals across the country, we now realise this was the best of them all! The flavours were perfectly balanced, and the aromatic curries were exceptional—a clear testament to the owner’s skills as a chef.
The staff and owners were incredibly accommodating, and their attention to detail elevated our experience. The koi pond in the garden was a lovely touch, and feeding the koi added a moment of peaceful delight to our morning.
It’s a pity we could only stay for one night, but it was the perfect start to our Sri Lankan adventure. We highly recommend the Summer House for its warmth, impeccable food, and tranquil atmosphere. Five stars, without hesitation!

It was perfect for what we needed, a place to reset after a long flight. The villa was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our 1 year old loved the pool, as did we. The location isn’t walking distance to restaurants (although the hosts can arrange a tuktuk) but fernando and Rodni picked up a delicious take away for us in the evening.
