I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Tanderra in Sri Lanka, which was an amazing experience. We were a party of 6 all female friends. From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we were captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquility that surrounded us. The rooms were spacious, bright, and well maintained. Each bedroom was comfortable, featuring plush beds, high-quality linens, and 3 had breathtaking views of the ocean. The en-suite bathrooms were fitted with luxurious fixtures, rain showers, and quality products. One of the highlights of this villa was its indoor / outdoor living spaces. The expansive dining table was perfect for long lunches. It overlooked the pool at one side and the garden on the other. Really felt that it was inside outside living. The staff at the villa were exceptional in every way. They were warm, welcoming, and always went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met. From the moment we arrived, we received a personalized service that left a lasting impression. The private chef, Santha, prepared delectable meals, showcasing the finest flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine, and the attentive housekeeping staff Sampath and Darshana ensured that the villa was always in pristine condition. In conclusion, our stay at this amazing villa in Sri Lanka was nothing short of magical. It exceeded all our expectations in terms of luxury, beauty, and hospitality. If you're looking for a truly extraordinary experience amidst a tropical paradise, I wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It's a haven of tranquility and indulgence, and a place that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Breakfast was great, but dinner was super disappointing and really overpriced for the quality of the food. The manager was very sweet and offered his apologies for the food before we acknowledged being disappointed with it.

Our stay at Kalametiya Birds Villa was nothing short of exceptional. The villa is a serene, calming, and relaxing retreat, perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The entire villa, including the pool and garden, is available for private reservation, ensuring a peaceful and exclusive experience. The staff at Kalametiya Birds Villa were incredibly friendly, polite, and supportive throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The villa itself is safe, affordable, and impeccably clean. The garden is beautifully maintained and looks absolutely stunning, adding to the overall charm of the place. We opted for breakfast at the villa, and it was deliciously prepared, exceeding our expectations. Even when we ordered lunch and dinner from outside, the staff went above and beyond to serve it to us in the best possible way. Overall, Kalametiya Birds Villa is a perfect hideout, offering a tranquil and rejuvenating experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!

The treehouse is very unique built by the host. Nice view over the river with lots of birds, monkeys and wildlife adjacent. The garden sitting area and whole property he has done a beautiful job with lots of character in the stone work and handmade artistic lamps etc. It was clean, towels thick and bed very comfortable. The fan was enough to keep the room cool with the screened windows. Wifi also worked well.

I will again choose this down-to-earth, authentic beach house in kalametiya over nearby resorts (with 2x, 3x times the price) for the very simple reason: you are the only guest staying here. There is only one room in this small patch of land. It makes you feel cozy and at home. There are helpers who would come in to clean or cook for you on request but mostly you will be left on your own. Perfect if you like privacy and want to stay longer here.

Everything was perfect! Udara is a wonderful host and will go out of his way to ensure his guests have the most memorable experience. He brought us to a temple for sunset along the coast. The sweetest little monkey called Pinky was there and loved to be around humans. His mother and aunt cooked us a delicious variety of curries for a private dinner in the villa. We went on safari with Udara’s company Yala Safari Wonders which I also highly recommend. The villa was pristine in terms of cleanliness. Highly would recommend!!!

Super friendly host who organised breakfast when we came back from safari and even a taxi to our next destination the day after. Room was spacious and air con was lovely, we even had a kitchen! Good base point for Yala, only about 35mins drive away, highly recommend.
