We stayed at this hotel with extended family. The hotel has an exceptional team doing all they can to keep the guests happy. Buddhika, Vijay and the rest of the team did everything they could to arrange the best trips and prepare wonderful dinners for us. Food was sourced from fresh fish markets. The hotel has a very chilled vibe with a beautiful garden and fantastic sea views. Ideal to relax and spend quality time with an extended group of family or friends.

Very nice, clean and comfortable private guest house within a tropical garden and with a large swimming pool.
The guest house has just 3 rooms and each has it’s own terrace with chairs and sun loungers.
The guest house is very calm, no traffic noice, just birds and squirrels :-)

The hotel manager is extremely helpful and provides a lot of information. He speaks very well English.
He rented us his scooter for low money, so that we could drive to the beach and town within a few minutes.
The beaches are beautiful and clean, with some restaurants and bars.
There a many nice restaurants directly at the train station close to the beach Picknick area. You have to cross the tracks to enter the restaurants.

The place is lovely with only 3 villas among the jungles. It’s nice to have breakfast among nature. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. And I liked the design. The staff is very friendly and helpful. WiFi was excellent. It’s around 6-7 minutes walking to the ocean.

I liked the location which, for birding was excellent. It was also a little way from the main tourist centres but only a 15 minute walk to the beach. The accommodation itself was excellent with a lovely pool, nice little kitchen and a friendly cat!
The caretaker host, Krishna, was impeccable, friendly and efficient. The bed was comfy and the ac sufficient.

The owner is really helpful! Our kid was sick and he helped us a lot. He was really kind to accept to reduce our stay in order for us to get closer to the hospital.

We had a wonderful vacation at Aluthgama House. A beautiful villa that leaves nothing to be desired: spacious and clean rooms, a great, very clean pool, a gorgeous tropical garden right on the Bentota River, very tasteful lounges, great service from the staff, including excellent breakfast and great food for dinner.

We stayed way longer than expected in this villa and it was an amazing stay thanks to the hosts hospitality, the view from the balcony was stunning especially for sunsets. There is a shared kitchen in the ground floor. There is much privacy given but always somebody to ask, if you need help with anything. Thank you very much for this lovely time!
Sahani Villa was fantastic. So clean and set away in a nice quite area. The owners and their family were really nice. Owner drove us around in his tuk tuk free of charge. Breakfast were amazing. So much food. Would highly recommend staying at this beautiful Villa.

Solal Villa is a beautiful place! It is really peaceful und surrounded by nature. The Family is super friendly and warm-hearted, we felt very welcoming. It is a bigroom with a lot of windows and a big toilet. We loved the balcony and the very delicious breakfast. Thanks again!
Let me first say that Monika and Viraj are spectacular hosts. The beautiful river view villa is in an unbeatable location nested on the Bentota River bank.
The Villa gives you access to all of the hotspots in both Bentota and Aluthgama. It is also ideally located right beside the highway which provides access to the rest of Sri Lanka such as Galle, Colombo, etc.
I found our hosts to be incredibly hospitable and attentive, we felt at home the moment we stepped in. We would recommend this place to anyone passing by the region!
Everything. The food was extremely good. We ate mostly Sri Lankan food, 'When in Rome' as they say, it was delicious indeed. The pool was probably the cleanest I have swum in. The design of the Villa, the attention to detail and comfort was fantastic. The staff kept the Villa exceptionally clean and they organised massages and river boat trips for us. They were discreet but attentive.
I would highly recommended this Villa to anyone who enjoys, great food, the simple luxuries of life, comfortable surroundings and friendly staff.
