The host, Bandai-san, was extremely kind and helpful. She picked us up and took us back to Miyanoura Port, and even provided homemade rice balls for breakfast our final day! When we asked, she also made reservations for dinner for us, which was very helpful since there are very few restaurants open in Honmura for dinner. Honmura is a peaceful, quiet fishing village and Guest house PLENO was charming and comfortable.

Lovely traditional style guesthouse. Fabulous breakfast. Japanese type, beautifully presented and different every day.
Beautiful small village setting. Lots of birdsongs in the morning and a lovely walk through the trees.
The host was very kind and helpfull. He prepared an amazing breakfast for only a small price. The room was very nice and had an amazing view on the village and harbour.
There is a very small but beautiful hike you can do from the house along the coast, where you can also swim. There are bikes that you can use for free to explore the beautiful and cute village of Aji (ask also to watch the movie shot in the village). There are a lot of stone quarries around, a nice ramen place and some nice cafes.
-Buffet breakfast was incredible and the breakfast staff were so kind and helpful. In particular there was one foreign staff member who spoke English and spoke with us everyday. She was so kind.
-The rooms are lovely and spacious
-The hotel has a luxury feel
-The beds are very comfortable
-The location is pretty good (10 mins on foot to JR Takamatsu Station)
-Vending machine on the 7th floor with lots of options including sugar free soda which was amazing as a diabetic
-Cleaning staff were thorough and very fast.
I particularly enjoyed the location; a short walk from the nearest Kotoden Station and the hotel is physically connected to the Central Takamatsu Shopping Arcades, Arriving by taxi in a rainstorm; after check-in, I was immediately able to stroll around some 2.7km of covered shopping arcades, (including luxury shops, department stores, restaurants, etc.), without the need for an umbrella.
Rooms well equipped; particularly impressed by the provision of extra pillows in the room, as I need to elevate my head whilst sleeping.
Art deco design, helpful and friendly staff in the club lounge area. Breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail hour were all excellent and added a touch of luxury to our stay.
The room was perfect, very comfy bed, nice view and a superb bathroom. The breakfast options were super various, which made it difficult to choose what to eat. But that's a luxury problem. ;-) Bikes were to rent for free, which was a great way to explore the city a bit further than just the center.
