FAQ about villas in Kusatsu
On average, a villa in Kusatsu costs $215 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
The showa villa exceeded our expectations by a large margin. You can easily stay there for a week. Large kitchen, living room and dining table. Very comfortable beds. 3 toilets and a private onsen! Family run Izakaya about a 10 min walk away. Convenience store similar distance.
It’s cosy, very clean and a set up like the local home experience. I have a short stay however, it’s wonderful. Thank you for the informative guide around the village, also helpful staff accommodating to my late check in
Amazing stay at this ryokan fully furnished , there was an amazing onsen in the room and 3 other onsens to use in the ryokan. The people working here are really welcoming and helpful !
Few things to know : the onsen water keeps flowing during the night which can disturb a little bit the sleep + there is a hill to go to the village but it is managable.
Highly recommend for a great time in Kusatsu
This hotel charmed us with its ambiance from the moment we stepped inside. The proximity to the famous Yubatake and local onsens made it an ideal retreat. The hotel’s private onsen, while modest in size, has a lovely, intimate vibe. I got to enjoy it by myself which was a great experience. The level of service was amazing, with staff showcasing exceptional friendliness. The yukatas in our room were a thoughtful gesture that deeply enriched our cultural experience, making our trip feel even more special. I would stay here again!
Great location, less than 10 mins walk to the village center. Amazing staffs and really good hotel amenities. I would definitely go back in the future!
Amazing villa, very nicely setup for large groups. The entire, personal, onsen downstairs was amazing!
While it felt a little way away from the main area of Kusatsu, it probably helped being away from the main source of the sulfur smell. (Make sure you keep the multiple doors closed down to the personal onsen to also keep that smell at bay!)
Also, the location was walking distance to a great BBQ restaurant, amazing onsen, and a 7-11 for supplies.
And the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful.
Very much recommended!
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive to details. Tried the new breakfast menu and was quite happy with it.
U can get free ferry service to the village centre of Kusatsu but even without it, the centre is only a short walk away. Place was clean and new. Definitely recommend to others.
