Our stay at Villa Rubeshibe was absolutely wonderful. It has beautifully designed interiors, and was the perfect size for our multigenerational family of 8 - 2 adults and 2 kids took the bigger family-sized Japanese-style room with ensuite bathroom, 2 adults in the second room and another 2 adults in the 3rd. There is a huge living room and couch where we lounged after dinner, and an 8-seater dining table where we gathered over meals.
We stayed in one of the nights and made dinner comfortably because of a lack of restaurant options on a Monday night in Biei. Two-in-1 oven and microwave (would reco only using one function at a time, the residual oven heat would be too hot for microwaving something), 4 stoves, lots of kitchen utensils and serving plates, a wide variety of wine and sake glasses (white, red, burgundy, champagne flutes, sake pot and glasses etc).
The host was great, walking us through the property and explaining how to use the various amenities upon check-in, and sending us off on check-out. We also appreciated all the little touches - many complimentary bottles of juice and bottled water, the nespresso machine and capsules in the kitchen AND every single room, herbal tea from the region, etc.
There is also a large jacuzzi tub with jets - use it!!

It is rare to find a huge house which can accommodate up to 10 guests. Lucky we found this house on booking.com. 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 on ground level. Even the sofa is a sofa bed. So that's a lot of places to sleep on. Everything is good other than the waiting time to get in the shower (only 1 shower room). The house is clean, plenty of towels provided with disposable toothbrush and razor. Can park 2 cars at the front. Also our neighbor is a convenience shop (Seicomart) which make a trip to buy eggs hassle free. Location is a bit far from Asahikawa but we don't mind as long as we can stay together. Not a lot of guest houses in the city anyway

property is in a good location and the main house is actually reasonably well designed but our friends , part of our party , stayed in three of the Adagio villas just nearby / the design of the villas was totally impractical .
the property as whole has great potential
but sort out the design flaws and review operation issues to be more customer focused with more flexible approach to issues .

The location is fantastic, noting that you need a car to get here.
The villa design allows you to feel like you are up in the birch trees, which is very special, and having a laundry and some basic cooking facilities was excellent.
Dinner was only available for one night of our stay and was a mixture of Japanese and Western dishes using local ingredients. The quality was great, and the portions generous. Breakfast was self-catering so be sure to pick up supplies before you arrive, noting that fresh coffee was provided.
A stylish and clean villa, very comfortable to stay for few nights. Everything is well provided for. Kitchen is well equipped, such a pity that we don’t cook.
We stayed one night at the villa one night at the main building. If you are a large group consider taking the villa, the main building has better view though. They picked and dropped us up from Biei station. We did take the taxi one time. It costs around 1200¥. The location is wonderful, specially to enjoy sunset. They have free bicycle which you can borrow to ride around. The host lady super nice and very accomodating.
Adagio Villa is a wonderful property. The architecture of the villa is really amazing and it is very comfortable. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. He speaks great English, too. The location is amazing! The villa is surrounded by trees and the view from the windows is private and peaceful. Walking around the property, you can see the Biei countryside and watch the sunset over the hills. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
The place was amazing, the view was spectacular. The staff were so helpful. Jack was super caring! Will definitely go back. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, this is it. Room is big and spacious, super tasty breakfast too. Thank you!
