Giosahouse in Uggiano was a great choice. Carolina, the host was so lovely. such a friendly and helpful person. She was there with her daughter to receive us. They also welcomed us with sweet local pastries and water in the fridge. The apartment itself was very clean and had all the amenities. There was clothes drying rack which came very handy when drying our beach towels. The Aircon worked well in the apartment. There was warm water for shower and the bathroom itself was quiet spacious. There was a tv in the room and a spacious closet to put our things in. Carolina also immediately brought us clothes iron when i enquired for one. Carolina and her daughter greeted us at the location and showed us around.
Giosahouse has a fantastic rooftop view looking out to the church. We loved spending the cool nights in the rooftop mesmerising at the stars. The neighbourhood is quiet and clean and felt very safe. Carolina was always ready to help and stayed in touch throughout our stay through WhatsApp. The breakfast cafe was few minutes walk from the apartment and the cafe was really nice. They had many pastries on offer and of course good coffee. Even if we decided to rent a car in the last minute, Carolina arranged a parking space right next to the apartment immediately.

The apartment was perfect, it had everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It's been done to a very high standard and we loved the design. Unlike other places we've stayed, the mattress and pillows were so comfortable and we slept really well. And the outside courtyard with oranges trees was a beautiful place to relax in and enjoy. Parking was easy right outside on the street.

The owners were welcoming and kind. They gave us lots of info and suggestions on what to do or where to go to the seaside. The continental breakfast was good with healthy selections and delicious handmade cakes. Despite the fact that the room wasn't esthetically appealing, it was spacious and clean, the 2 double beds were comfortable, and we had all we needed. Uggiano la Chiesa is a quiet and small village, about 8km from Otranto. You can easily park the car just outside the gate of the house.
Wonderfull, quiet and very clean place. Very helpful hosts. If we need anything we can ask anytime. Nice, clean and very close swimming pool and beautiful garden. We have a lot od privacy. We had an umbrella for the beach and car parking nearby. Air conditioning works perfect. The rooms had also a shutters, so it was very helpful in hot summer days. It is in the center of village but you don't feel.it. Very close to delicious bakery, caffeteria, small pubs. Thank you do much for great time!

I could not have more praise for this family run resort. The experience was made even more enjoyable by the professional and courteous staff, from front desk to dining and house keeping, there was nothing that was too much for these guys to make our holiday experience so enjoyable. A special mention for the restaurant, we dined here the first night and enjoyed it so much we returned for a second evening and we’re not disappointed. Located in a quiet village a few km from Otranto, a very good base to explore southern Puglia and Otranto.
A family run B&B, Fausto and his wife made us feel very welcome. The apartment was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was delicious. Private parking and very comfortable bed and nice/large bathroom and shower. Their son Pier gave us many restaurant and bar recommendations close by in Otranto. Very calm and quiet village. Would definitely recommend.
We so enjoyed our stay at the Masseria Gattamora. It was good option for us as it is located in a rural area but walkable to a small village. The staff was quite helpful and kind and took very good care of us. We dined in their restaurant a few times and found the food and service quite good.
