The property is exceptionally well-equipped and full of very thoughtful touches for the traveller. The ability to park in the private courtyard outside the front door was fantastic (and Francesca took care of the 'limited traffic access' restriction). This would be a great and comfortable place to stay for a number of weeks, such are its location, facilities and amenities.

The location was incredible, easy to access and surrounded by tall trees to provide shadow during the hot days. The Scuderia is magical and filled with history, which Maurizio was happy and eager to share with us at arrival. We even got to meet a new born baby horse and see the mothers tending to them (at an appropriate distance, of course). It was such a special place, and Maurizio and Emilia made us not only feel extremely welcome but as if we had been long-time guests of the place. They even arranged for us to eat in the next door restaurant, since we had a charged program ahead of us and little time to organise lunch plans. We were at the scuderia for less than 24h but it was a beautiful pit stop that we are so SO happy to have stumbled upon.

I was met by the host who showed me around and gave me the keys. He provided some basic groceries which was convenient and kind. The place was very spacious and bright and the number one feature was the incredible and beautiful view of the countryside from the rooms and from the terrace. It was breathtaking.
I was travelling by motorbike and I really appreciated the secure parking in a garage.

The hotel staff were amazing, and the amenities were top-notch. A small addition like a few more pillows on the bed would make the stay even more luxurious. Our vacation was wonderful, and the hotel's location was ideal.

I was a bit afraid because of the numerous negative reviews but my experience at the hotel/hostel was great. It’s not a luxury accommodation but has all the essentials, is clean, and the staff is helpful. Good value for money. I would definitely stay again!

And It is somehow unique, because it takes you at hand (if you want) and tells a bit about the life of Marisa and Donato in the 30ties of the last century.

Excellent accommodation in isolated villa, very welcoming and interesting host and personnel, fantastic scholarly library available to guests, superb breakfast, perfect location near the train station, within walking distance from city center. Just the perfect place to visit Pavia and the surrounding countryside. We plan to come back.
The location was very attractive and rural, but not too far from village where we could eat. Hosts helpful on this front.
Directions were good, although circular around Pavia quite complex. We visited Certosa (monastery with wall paintings and more, just outside Pavia) which was amazing.
Lovely, spacious apartment with independent access. Right in the centre of beautiful Pavia, close to bars and restaurants. Small supermarket right next door. Car park is 5 mins walk. Extremely clean and has everything one could need for a short stay / city break. Pavia is a wonderful place to explore and 2-3 days will just about so it justice. The Villa Rosa owners were incredibly friendly and responsive. Overall, highly recommended. Would very gladly come back!
