The historic nature of the apartment and the building in which it was housed coupled with its excellent central location, its facilities ie well equipped kitchen, lounge/dining and bathroom/laundry but most of all its owner and his partner who went above and beyond from picking us up and dropping us off at station to immediately fixing the problem that my husband caused with the washing machine.

The house was perfectly located a short drive to Lake Maggiore, Lake Orta and Maggiora Park. There was a very convenient supermarket nearby too. There was ample and secure parking a 2 min walk from the house and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house was in perfect condition, new and had everything we could possibly want; a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, hairdryer, super comfortable double bed (and two single beds that we didn't use). We had lots of space as there are two bedrooms and the facilities were amazing. We really loved the balcony too and being able to sit outside with a cup of tea. Lots of care and attention has been given to every detail in the house. The host was amazing too, she kept in contact throughout and responded very quickly to any questions. It was completely stress free and we would definitely love to stay again! 10/10!!

The pool is beautiful, and from the restaurant there is a great view of the lake. The room is nice and quiet. Breakfast was good. Easy short walk into the village.
The location is strategic, just five minutes drive to the lakes.A wonderful ancient villa within the old village with all comforts and attention to details. We were welcomed with kindness and sympathy by the hosts. Breakfast is really special, abundant, and offered with a touch of style. The offer is fresh fruit, yogurt and cakes made by the hostess, all perfect. Garden and terrace are wonderful for relaxing. Rooms and baths are spacious, comfortable, and very clean.
The location is a 20-minute walk from the village, quiet and by the lake, there is also a private swimming spot. The bed was very comfortable, the furnishings compact and well-thought-out, the view of the lake and the mountains from the room. We liked the possiblity to stay further from the village in piece and quiet, but if you go there without a car as we did, then be prepared to walk a lot (which we do like).
Well loved our pretty room under the eaves of this very old, family run
hotel. We had a delightful view over the roof slates to the lake and mountains. Room and bathroom with painted walls and a luxury spa bath were much enjoyed. We enjoyed two excellent evening meals in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good, with fresh fruit. It was so nice just being able to wander out into the streets and piazza of lovely Orta. The staff were very friendly and offered helpful information.
Nice view from the restaurant. When we got at the hotel, they asked us if we wanted to eat at their restaurant. A reservation was needed, but we were allowed in immediately. Cute little balcony with a nice view, even though it wasn't at the little island of Orta. We were allowed to park the car after checking out for a few hours so we could explore the village and island.
