Cute apartment within walking distance to the beach, in quiet Rinella village.
Salina is 2nd largest island in the group & we took the Liberty Lines ferry, 2 hours from Milazzo. And it had a stop at Rinella on Salina island. From there only a 5 minute walk to the apartment.
Up tiny stairs the apartment is a good size and has a sunny balcony with a view of the beach. Aircon is good. Short walk to the beach & to the facilities of the village including a small store, cafe, scooter rental.
We hired a scooter and enjoyed exploring the rest of the island … would have been tough just to stay in Rinella. The island has steep hills & up/ down to the other towns.
The owner has a local lady supporting it who is charming & helpful.

The Staff was just great, super helpful, gave great advise and checked-in several times to make sure that everything was going well. The view from the solarium was splendid, great for relaxation after a day visiting the nearby villages or trekking. Quality to price ratio is the best I had during my two weeks in the Aeolian islands.
Mariella and Carlos are friendly and obliging hosts and their home is an historic house with a special history and unique charm that's been in the family for generations. It was a pleasure to meet them. Leni is a little village and one gets to know the locals a bit in a short time. I ate at a new little kitchen close by run by Enzo and it was homely and delicious. The local wines are wonderful and the capers and lemons! There are some lovely walks nearby. I would love to stay longer.
Brilliant view. Lovely homemade snacks to welcome us, and a breakfast full of products from the garden. Beautiful flowers. Dinner at Villa Carla, up the road, highly recommended.
