We loved our stay in Bellano. The property is right across the street from a small public beach and I loved that the property had chairs and some floaties that we could use there. I was excited to use the bicycles, but the road is quite busy so we opted to ride them early in the morning when there was less traffic.
We had a group of 8 and it was nice to be able to have rooms close together. The rooms were charming and clean. The property is wonderful--my favorite feature is the patio with a view. So beautiful! The town of Bellano is small. Things closed early and there weren't a lot of restaurant options, but we bought our own groceries and ate on the patio, which was so much better! Our stay here was so relaxing! We took the train from Bellano to Varenna and then took the ferry to Bellagio. We also visited the nearby waterfall orrido di bellano. It was nice, but nothing spectacular (compared to many we have seen.) There was a nearby cemetery that was fascinating to explore. We enjoyed visiting Bellagio and Varenna, but I think we enjoyed playing at the nearby beach just as much.
Valle de Mulini was a great find. Our check in was easy and we felt very well taken care of.
I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location close to ferry terminal. The unit is on the widest of narrow streets going up, making it un congested to go up and down with luggage. The hosts Carlo and Susanna are most gracious and helped us with our numerous questions and needs. They came to receive us at taxi stand. The unit is newly renovated and meticulously clean with ALL the necessities provided for comfortable long stay. Kitchen was fully equipped with not only all appliances and utensils to be able to cook meals at home but also lots of food items, pasta, sauces, juices, chips and crackers!! Generosity of hosts, not normally found elsewhere. Two full bathrooms with showers make it particularly convenient for families. Thermostatic heat controls in each room work flawlessly.

The house was very big, fully equipped and very comfortable. The location was perfect, about 10 minutes walk to historical part of Porlezza, and right next to a carrefour with anything you might need.

Our hosts, Mohammed and his wife, Dina are AWESOME!!! We were traveling with 2 small dogs and had A LOT of luggage. We got off at the wrong train station (a 15 minute drive from the house) and Mohammed picked us up!! Then, to top it off, by the time we arrived and got settled the only grocery store in town was closed. Mohammed picked up food and wine and he and his wife dropped it off for us so we could have dinner!! I mean, talk about service!! Location was beautiful and quiet, however you need some mode of transportation to get up the hill. Going down is fine (although steep) but it was so HOT during the last week in August, so walking back up was not an option (especially with the dogs). We rented E-Bikes at the grocery store which was perfect. Awesome view from bedroom window, and the patio was really nice, complete with a tomato plant and flowers. The bed was comfortable (more on the firm side - like a tempurpedicish). We loved Lierna, and I'm so glad I decided not to rent in Bellagio or Varenna which are the "hot spots". We rented a boat at the suggestion of Mohammed (the apartment is stocked with pamphlets for things to do). We went out on Lake Como for 3 hours, after getting sandwiches and fruit at Il Buono (specialty food store in town across from the market). It was perfection!

The home was comfortable, recently remodeled and so peaceful. We had everything that we needed for a lovely stay as a group. Maria, the woman who looks after the property went way out her way to help us and ensure we enjoyed our stay, she was truly lovely.

The ferry is only a short walk away but the villa is in a quiet spot with lots of room for the whole family to have space.
The view of Bellagio from the bedroom and lounge was impressive and it was lovely having our meals on the verandah.

We loved being located in Griante as it is quieter than the busier Bellagio and Verenna but still a quick ferry ride over to see these towns for dinner / day trip. The small restaurants in Griante are a short walk away and super affordable with good Italian food 🙏
An amazing building full of character, the apartment was modern with good quality fixtures and parking. Exceptionally clean and equipped for our needs (3 night stay). Very accessible to the ferries and other parts of the lake. Excellent views of the lake. Sitting on the balcony having breakfast in the morning sunshine was amazing watching the people and the ferries coming in and out. Lovely safe walk to Villa Carlotta and Tremezzo and its restaurants. Fabulous restaurant attached to the building definitely worth visiting.
The apartment is quite large by European standards, with great view of the lake. Easy to catch ferries and/or walk to neighboring villages. The area is far less touristy than other locations around the lake.
The breakfast was wonderful. It was a lovely serene way to begin the morning in a light-filled room surrounded with antique pieces. The view of the lake and the mountains is exquisite. The location of the villa was perfect. Just a short boat ride away from the busyness of Bellagio. It was so close to everything and yet set apart for true relaxation. It had its own beauty on the other side of the lake. Toured the beautiful Villa Carlotta. Walked the Greenway. The location is excellent. A better value for the money than across the lake.
Fabulous villa with everything you could want available. The 'secret' gate at the end of the garden through the church is worth knowing about as it makes getting to the little shop and the excellent local restaurants very easy. The terrace is lovely.
The location is great, 5 minute walk from villa Carlotta, there’s also several ferry stations around. You can easily travel to more touristy locations like Belaggio while not having crowds of tourists around your stay. The place has everything you need: iron, washing machine, refrigerator, extra pillows etc. Collecting the keys was also really easy.
The villa is lovely and maintains much of its old-world charm. The staff was very nice and attentive, and breakfast each morning was plentiful and easy. Short walk to Tremezzo and the ferry, easy parking.
the location is super with waling distances to ferry piers. Bus C10 running right in front of the property connecting towns on this side of the late to Como town. Most beautiful villas are around this area with easy access by boats to Bellagio and Varrena. There are restaurants and small shops nearby. But for shopping of food and veg etc. one needs to go further to larger towns.
Views of the lake is nice from the small bacony with a small table and chairs. Nice place to have meals and drinks.
The best hotel ever, we love all. Amazing view, perfect location (very close to all famous villas) bus station under the corner, the same with the boat to another cities.
apartment is also so comfortable and clean, we have all we need at kitchen. A lot of additional pillows and blankets. There is also amazing terrace and balcony with the best view.
