This cabin is in a lovely spot with excellent views (when the weather permits!) and is a leisurely walk to a lovely waterfall. The owner dropped by to check we'd settled in OK and brought us a box of chocolate biscuits to welcome us (which was very thoughtful). The lounge-living area is quite spacious and comfortable and there were numerous radiators that we could adjust to control the temperature and keep the cottage as warm/cool as we needed to (we like to sleep in a cool bedroom so this was great). We stayed for two nights and on the second night the skies cleared enough for us to see the northern lights (although taking pictures was tricky as the cabins have outside lights that come on automatically, and that we couldn't seem to turn off).
Situated in Seyðisfjörður and only 4.1 km from Gufufoss, Botnahlid Villa, Mountain and Town views and outdoor Sauna features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

A spacious room with a great view, and a fantastic kitchen. There’s also a guitar with excellent tone. After a meal indoors, you can take a leisurely stroll around the small town, and it feels absolutely wonderful! The outdoor sauna is a must-try experience.

The property was stunning and the surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous. We also got to see an incredibly cute and playful artic fox. This was a dream come true for both of us!
The hosts were so lovely and helpful. Our rental car broke down en route to the cabin. We had to wait for it to be repaired by a mechanic which we were advised would take 5hours. I called to let the host know we would be late checking in and to apologise. I thought this meant our stay would be cancelled but the lady was so lovely and offered to change our stay date so we could enjoy the lodge for longer. We are both so grateful for this kind offer and the generosity and understanding from the hosts.
We are already planning on returning to Iceland so we can stay for longer at this property because we loved it so much.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
What a lovely small village. Various rooms and locations provided, not in the post office itself as I mistakenly had thought. Our rooom was large clean and functional. However what I want to share is about the breakfast and restaurant that comes with it. Simply outstanding, what a joy to experience the quality of food and wine for prices not any more than Iceland standards. A pleasure!
The quaint little village was so quiet and beautiful. The colorful street that leads to the church was so cool. The people in the shops were friendly. The sushi restaurant above Hotel Alden restaurant was delicious and a wonderful view. The experience was exceptional.
The old hospital is a fantastic building, old but very well kept. The kitchen is large and well-furnisched. The position at the border of the nice village is perfect.
The property was incredibly well maintained and clean. For a hostel, It was luxuriously comfortable with comfortable beds, provided towels, amazing showers, a laundry service and even a sauna. The kitchen was amazing, it had all the amenities one needs and the quality of the amenities was excellent.
Generous spaced room with amazing view of the fjord and the village. Loved the cozy living room.
