We wanted somewhere quiet ,rural and authentic for our visit to the Rock of Cashel and Cahir. We were so fortunate to have chosen Shadowvale: Theresa and Morgan are exemplary hosts, the rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The supplied breakfast was prepared by our hosts each morning, to order for our preferences, and was delicious, generous and quickly served. We felt like we were staying with family, in a luxury country estate. We cannot fault Shadowvale.
We had a wonderful experience. After getting lost, Anne met us in a nearby village and guided us to the property, where we were given much love by her dogs. She was very hospitable, going out of her way to make our stay pleasant. Her home was gorgeous, the room very cosy, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The surroundings were breathtaking & breakfast was great. We would highly recommend Garrenmore Lodge.
Love our stay in Shadowvale. It was very comfortable and very clean, luxurious linen and large fluffy towels. Our host went an extra mile providing me with an ice pack for my sore knee. One of the best night sleep we had since we left Dublin. Had my first Irish breakfast it was excellent!
Old-style, charming family-owned hotel in an old country mansion, beautifully located in the countryside close to the Glen of Aherlow and Cashel. The owner was very kind. We enjoyed having dinner at the Forge Bar as well as the very good breakfast served at the hotel.
The hosts had left so many lovely items like fresh fruit, bread, milk. The house is so lovely, incredibly clean, has everything a family needs. In a quiet little village. Very pretty countryside
Quite basic accommodation but clean and very reasonable. It is dated but perfect for its purpose. If its luxury you're looking for stay elsewhere. Hairdryer in room, clean towels, heater and tv. Very nice staff.
