nothing the place was a mess from previouse guests , beds un made used with stains.
Rubbish everywhere stains on walls and gouges un treated or cleaned dirty walls , dirty shower. Un responsive owner that after 15 calls to answer explained the issue and got abusive because i was irate after he provided no solution as my missus and her daughter couldnt stay there due to the degree of mess and was an xmas gift for girls night out "mother daughter" that i booked left her with no option but to find other accomodation and costly in galway last minute on top his costs , as it wasnt habitable for new guests.owner is being reported to council about the state of the place and further action will be taken. aswell as damages and cost of alternate stay. DO NOT RECOMEND, unless your into a drug den

The house was spacious, light filled and very comfortable. We were 500m from the flaggy shore, an amazing little art gallery was across the road from us and the location itself was magical

This hotel has a lot going for it. It is 5 miles out of Galway so a good base for a car based trip (and avoids the horror of Galway rush hour). The rooms are quite big, nice big car park. Food half decent and although this is a little isolated a brisk ten minute walk to the local village reveals a reasonable choice of bars and restaurants. It's even got a pool (although I didn't use it).
The staff were really helpful and friendly. Amazing breakfast every day. Spacious clean room bang in the middle of the village which was really handy for a day of exploring and loads of nearby restaurants and pubs.
