Great location, just a couple of minutes from the delights of the main street (no time for the takeaways to go cold on the way home, unless you go via the pub). Easy to find, the house itself was well laid-out and ideal for 5 people. Particularly liked the look on my son's face when he climbed up the spiral staircase to confront his mezzanine sleeping area!

We loved everything about this property! There was everything and more one may need to stay there! The hosts are amazing and very accommodating! We had a big welcome basket with all kinds of snacks waiting for us. Spacious modern house, extremely clean. We loved it so much we stayed longer than originally planned.

From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was fantastic—comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed. The highlight was the stunning beach view from the conservatory, which served as our dining room. The location was wonderfully quiet, yet only a 5-minute drive from the village and the family-friendly, beautiful beach. The entire area was picturesque, with many dreamy beaches to explore. Our stay was perfect, and we definitely plan to return.
We loved the location of the Fisherman's Village with Sea Views, in a lovely sea side quiet area, with lots of places to explore. Looking over the sea, having Sheephaven bay beside this wonderful B&B was beautiful. Downing village is a lovely area, with amazing food. Excellent place to stay, with full irush breakfasts and a self serving bar too!!!!

The location was ideal - it was away from the hustle and bustle of the village centre, but only a short walk away. The view from the house is stunning! You can see Sheephaven Bay perfectly.
the location is excellent, very centrally located in the village and parking spaces are available and the shower was OK. The hotel opposite was very nice, as were the retaurants and amenities in the area - especially the Harbour bar!
Such a beautiful hotel, old world elegance in a 20 year old modern building. It felt luxurious. The restaurant meals and included breakfast were delicious and high quality. The staff were welcoming, friendly and eager to help.
The location is super , very quiet , nice view , restaurant in the villa nearby , Paddy is very friendly, the house has everything for a wknd away , sauna … we were lucky enough to see the northern lights from there :)
Myself and my two kids stayed here for downings festival weekend. It was amazing Celia herself was a lady, the house is 2 minutes drive from the village and beach so perfect location, house was spotless and soo homely. very well equipped even toys for the kids. Even Wine bread milk butter on arrival. Very good value for money.
We already can’t wait to come back next year.
The apartment was more like villa vibes and had the best views of Downings from the outside dining area. The apartment itself had everything you and your party may need for a very comfortable and luxurious stay in Downings.
Excellent kitchen, with all you will need, bedrooms are spacious and bright. Living area is modern and airy. Super guest experience and Dean looked after us well on arrival. Would highly recommend 👌
