Mick's Cottage, hotel in Loughrea

Set 3.2 km from Loughrea, Mick's Cottage features two acres of land and views overlooking Loughrea Lake and the Slieve Aughty Mountains. This holiday home also comes with free WiFi.

Comfortable house, in a quiet location with views over Lough Rea. Keys were left available to us and owner came over to greet us and show us around upon arrival. Plenty of seating areas in the living areas and throughout the house. The only downside would be lack of footpath to enable visitors to walk down to the Lough, and road busy. Close to explore Galway, the Burren and Cliffs of Moher.

The ambience of such a historic cottage was fabulous. It made us feel like part of the Irish country side. The host Mike was great and told us the history of the area and his family.

Everything was perfect, the house was prepared for the guests very professionally, very clean, the kitchen contained everything you could want during your stay (and during normal life too :-)). Very nice space in the garden for relaxation and fun. The bedrooms were nice and the space in them was sufficient. The location was also very good. Near bars, restaurants and shops. It was a very nice time for us. Thank you.

Very well stocked upstairs kitchen for guest use An open fire in the sitting room.Hostess with the mostest, so welcoming, used our names when greeting us and was very welcoming. We also had a delicious breakfast. We enjoyed the pub next door and felt it was a very traditional Irish little village. I would love to spend another night in Gordon's.

A lovely guesthouse in a very charming village, with a friendly and welcoming host. The room was a good size, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size and well set out. Carolyn made a delicious breakfast in the delightful cafe downstairs. Handy parking outside. Recommended and would stay here again.
