We recently had the pleasure of staying at Deirdre's accommodation near Cong Village, and we can confidently say it was one of the best experiences we've ever had! The location is perfect—just a short distance from the charming village of Cong, allowing easy access to its beautiful sights. Deirdre, the host, truly goes above and beyond. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The facilities are outstanding; the cleanliness and comfort are top-notch. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of my stay was the amazing home-cooked brownies and Guinness bread that Deirdre provided. Both were delicious and showcased her talent in the kitchen. I cannot recommend Deirdre's place highly enough. With exceptional hospitality, top-tier facilities, and delightful treats, it truly deserves a 10-star rating. I can’t wait to return!

Perfect house for a family stay, plenty of room and very well equipped. The house is within walking distance of the village & there are some lovely trail walks down by the Abbey. Sheila is a great host & responded very quickly to any queries we had.

No staff available on site . Poor and delayed response to emails , calls and even app messages . Couldn’t have entered the premises but for the fortunate presence of a ukrainian cleaning lady who went out of the way to find us someone through her workers chat group . Otherwise we were stranded . Such a nice location but marred by unprofessional attitude and slackness of someone who should have arranged entry . Not expected from BOOKING.COM.😡

Lakeside house, hotel in Clonbur

Lakeside house offers self-catering accommodation with a patio, free WiFi, and free private parking. The holiday home features a satellite flat-screen TV.

What a fabulous place this is, Jackie our host paid us a visit with her daughter Tara to sort out the wi-fi as we were having trouble. Soon sorted nothing was too much trouble even to the extent of sorting out somewhere that did a Sunday roast for us all. The house is nestled down a short access road on the side of a lough with great views. Such a lovely spacious place with everything you could need for your stay. We (6) had a great time, the house was perfectly located for our visits to all the local attractions. It was great to arrive back from our visits to a warm comfortable house home from home.

I liked the location near the village. It's handy as a base for exploring Connemara. Large comfortable bed. Private entrance. Good size, cozy, self contained space with en suite bathroom. Kettle, fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery, tea towel all provided along with a little jug of milk and some fruit. Follow the instructions given and you will find the house without any difficulty even though there is no sign on it.

The location was superb, less than 10 minutes of a walk to the village of Clonbur and a short drive from a lot of lovely villages and towns in the south of Mayo and north of Galway. The room we stayed it was exceptionally clean, spacious for two and comfortable. The room has a self check in service so you can show up at any time after 3pm and sort yourself out without having to bother everyone. We met 3 dogs during our stay who were all very friendly.

Best bed so far on this trip. Less than a kilometre to the grocery shop and a great pub in the village for dinner. Anything we asked for was provided promptly. Plenty of hot water.

Great value for money. The bed is wide and comfortable, the man who welcomed us (James) was nice and friendly, the location is unbeatable with a variety of scenic forest walks and lakes all over. The village down the road, only 10 minutes walk away, has a pub, a grocery store, a very delicious restaurant and a super nice bakery (for breakfast!).
