My friends and I had a lovely weekend at the wonderful Hopesgate Cottage. Chris met us on arrival and had the wood burner running so the cottage was extremely cosy. He gave us a rundown of all the important information for our stay and provided us with local taxi options. The cottage itself is gorgeous! It's been superbly restored with under floor heating and lots of beautiful furnishings, making it feel very homely. It is clean and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen for cooking. Overall a fabulous little spot!

BRILLIANT WHOLE HOUSE with lovely host Ann - DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS GEM!
The place is EXTREMELY SPACIOUS with free parking, and a beautiful back garden (we even picked fresh raspberries from the garden).
Fresh scones waiting for us were an extra treat along with a nice chat with the host, Ann, who lives next door.
Close to lots of interesting places and shops for essentials.
Bathroom has a shower with EXCELLENT water pressure and temperature as well as a bath and soft towels and bathroom heater.
Washing machine and dryer available for use inside the house were a HUGE PLUS.
Dishwasher and stove top and oven with a fully equipped kitchen.
Sheets and duvets, pillows etc were all good quality, with soft cotton cases.
Note: no TV, but lots of games and puzzles available.
WONDERFUL PLACE TO UNWIND AND RELAX IN GENUINE COMFORT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nice size house great for what we needed as a group
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
A beautiful period property in a quiet location. Our room was comfortable and luxuriously appointed. Gorgeous courtyard. Freshly cooked breakfast was fabulous too. Our four legged child was made very welcome!
Our stay at Townsend House was wonderful! The room was beautiful- we stayed in the family suite which was spacious and very comfortable. The location was just perfect for exploring the small village of Birr- walking distance to the castle and town center. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was delicious (and huge!). We were so happy with this stay and would definitely recommend it.
