We loved the connection with Richardo. We loved his generous heart towards us and others, especially in helping support villages, education while maintaining their traditional customs and way of life. We had a magical day when we took schoolbooks and pens into a non tourist village. The children sang and danced. It was incredible.

Great homestay located in Kenda village just outside Ruteng. Amazing views from the terraces and lovely introduction to Indonesian life. You can do a sunrise hike through the rice terraces with Jeff the owner and dinner (optional extra) is a shared affair wearing traditional sarongs and shared with other guests. Very friendly and welcoming. Jeff went out of his way to drive us to Labuan Bajo after our stay.

Great value for money. Jofan and his wife go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Breakfast was great and so was dinner. Rooms were clean, there's no hot water in the shower but they can give you a bucket with hot water which works just as well. Jofan organised 2 scooters for us and gave us suggestions on what to do in the area (wouldn't necessarily go to Todo village as we felt it was a tourist trap, go visit Bena village in Bajawa instead :))

Richardo went out of his way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms were a good size, bathroom had hot water, everything was clean and very conveniently located. He helped me organise a tour of the surrounding areas including the rice terraces, hobbits cave and a local village in the middle of nowhere. The your guide Yuven was very knowledgeable and helpful. 10/10 would recommend to all

Very clean, a lot and very good food. The host showed to the guest many local things (local market, villages, sunrise and sunset trekking). Food very delicious. I loved stay there and I met nice people

The owner is super friendly and helps you with everything. He picked us up from our driver and brought us to the city after our stay. He even invited us to a wedding in the village, which was a unique and amazing experience. We also enjoyed the food in the morning and evening and the rice field tracking.

Definitely recommend to stay in Richardo’s Homestay if you go to Ruteng. He is full of suggestions and will help you to get the most from your time in Flores, he knows plenty of people and, ultimately, you can also make a great 1day trip with him in (really)traditional villages. We had such a great time.

Thank you chacha guesthouse for an amazing stay! We booked for 1 night and stayed for 3. Beds were really comfy and the breakfast was delicious, but the coffee was amazing! Such a lovely and careing familly can't thank them enough for welcoming us like we were family. Highly recommended great location. Javan also arranged for his friend to take us and 2 other guests to a local village and a waterfall which was the best day. Can't wait to see you all on our way back to labuan Bajo
