I stayed at Maria's while my husband was having a procedure done at the nearby hospital. She greeted me and showed me around and even helped me by ordering food. I was on my own with no car, and I actually felt safe in her compound. It gave me such peace to stay in a beautiful place while I was dealing with stress at the hospital.

Lovely, helpful, friendly hosts, who try their best for their customers. From this town we went to Pachnes, the room had not been reserved on the climbing days. The hosts offered to leave our bags when we returned, the room was cleaned and we stayed another night.
We recommend it to everyone who wants to admire the incredibly beautiful view of the mountains and feel the peace of this town. It has no shops or attractions. But it has three pubs and a road through valleys and mountains towards Pachnes. The bar, which is located to the right of the town statue, is staffed by a very friendly bar owner, who also cooks delicious food. The owner lives upstairs and there are neighboring houses, but these live on/are oriented on the other side of the buildings which ensures plenty of privacy.
Amazing tips from the owner for things to do and places to eat in the area, the owner also spoiled us with home made delicious treats and was very responsive to our questions.

Very nice and big apartment located in a lovely village. The apartment is new. Loved the balcony with the mountain view. Good wi-fi. Comfortable bed with 2 different pillows (1 hard, 1 soft) for each guest. TV sets in every room.
The rooms are like your home away from home! Exceeded our expectations for the price paid. Lovely village in the mountains! The views are something! A break away from the beaches for a change! Enjoyed the walks too.
We loved the village of Therisso and our lovely welcoming host Maria. At 40 Euro per night we were not expecting anything flash. The room.was big and well appointed with a lovely balcony. Be aware that Therisso is a lunch destination for people on the coast so everything shuts down at 6pm
Lovely house in amazing rural area. Great pool with fantastic views and a pool house with barbecue. Walking distance to 5-6 tavernas in the village of Theriso. Fab drive through the gorge to get from Chania to Theriso. About 25 minutes drive to Chania or the beaches of Platanias and Agia Marina.
Beautiful traditional house with wonderful mountain view and a private very clean swimming.
Nearby villages Meskla, Zourva, Drakona worth visiting! All local tavernas offer tasty dishes and people are very welcoming.
Many thanks to the owner of the villa who was available for us at all times and all the gifts we received (eggs, cheese, wine, fruits, bread...). We should have stayed longer than 1 week.
