The villa itself is spectacular. The view was stunning and the pool was wonderful. The rooms were nicely sized and the kitchen was well-equipped. There was ample outdoor furniture and the decor is beautiful. The hostess drove us to the villa as we didn't have a car. We relied on the one taxi driver in town to pick us up to go to town and Mycenae.

The home itself was so charming and cozy. In real estate listings, "charming and cozy" usually equate to small and bare bones...not the case with the Silo Stone House. This is the vacation cottage that dreams are made of. It's on top of a hill with views of the ancient Mycenae ruins and the sea in the distance. It's completely surrounded by expansive olive groves, without a neighbor in sight! The house was so well equipped and well appointed that it puts most other vacation rentals to shame. The owners could not have been nicer or made us feel more welcome. The owners also have an absolutely incredible store that is just a few minutes away and no trip to this area is complete without a stop there. It's called the Silo Art Factory and it could easily double as a museum.
