Perfect calm and gorgeous setting on the hill overlooking the small town and the sea. This house was beautiful inside and out and the perfect setting for unwinding in stillness. The view and outside areas are lovely and make it so we didn’t want to leave the house. But it’s only a short drive down to the town beach or a more wild and beautiful beach. Just take supplies with you because there is no market in town. The house has a nice kitchen for preparing meals. The hosts were really responsive and kind. I would travel back to the island for many reasons but also to stay at Athena’s house again. Made the end of our stay on Kythira perfect.

The 2-bedroom apartment is very spacious and clean. Kitchen equipped with refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker, coffee filter, tableware, electric mug, dining area. On the ground floor is the kitchen, a bathroom with toilet only, sofa, smart TV. Upstairs there are two medium-sized bedrooms with a double bed, we did not find a very comfortable mattress, and a very large wardrobe. Also upstairs is the very spacious bathroom with bathtub and washing machine.
The apartment also has a terrace with a table and chairs. The yard is not very big: it has a pool area and 8 deckchairs, it has a well-maintained garden area but no green space. There is no arranged parking, you can park on the street right in front of the house, there are enough places.
The owner is very kind and discreet, willing to help you.

These properties by the bay are lovely, very nice staff, well organised, good views, well equipped and create a lovely relaxed stay in a stunning wee village. Its a real laid back place to be and will rejuvinate any weary person needing a good chilled break.

The villas are situated at a perfect location to explore the island. Each villa/ room is decorated with taste and meraki. The view has been mesmerising. The small kitchenette is allowing full independence and helps eliminate the time one eats out. The common areas are very welcoming and cozy. A perfect destination for a yoga retreat. The owner and the staff are very friendly, polite, accommodating and professional. Room was cleaned every day very thoroughly. Overall it was an amazing experience, can’t wait to come
Views as promised, really small village with lots of good places to eat. Lovely swimming cove. Nice balcony with shade in the afternoon - small kitchen, big fridge, perfect for a summer holiday.
Avlemonas is the best place to stay. Easy drive from the ferry and to most of the other towns or points of interest. The apartments are perfectly located and well maintained. Lots of tavernas to choose from for dinner and the beautiful inlet which is basically a private pool for the locals and lucky tourists staying there. Air con in bedroom is good to have and fly screens on windows. Private balconies. Quiet but convenient. Kitchen reasonably well set up, decent sized fridge. Great for longer stays.
Wonderful peaceful seaside village. Small kitchen facility which was helpful because many restaurants were closed so late in the season (late October). Nice terrace with a view of the sea and the sunset.
Wonderful location in beautiful 'holiday' village. A one minute walk down to the side of the rocky cove for a swim before breakfast, and one minute away from all the tavernas and cafes.
The villas are magical and the gardens and surroundings are beautiful. The view of the ocean is so peaceful. We had the most wonderful time. Very nice hostess!
