Everything was just immaculate. Parking was very secure. All grocery shopping stores were literally 5 mins walking distance.
I had only one reservation that the property was on a high street. So I was trying to check a few other properties in a quiet location. But finally I booked this one. And really, no regrets at all.
Though it's on the high Street also near the pub, I along with other friends could not hear any loud sounds. Overall a beautiful property with everything spot on. And yes also, a fantastic Gillian (the owner of the property).

It was clean, modern, really well equipped, nothing like the caravans you used to get. Heating worked really well even in the minus temperatures we had while there. Beds were comfy, everything worked as it should and the views of the mountains were great to wake up to.

Beautifully presented cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lots of extra touches such as plentiful reading material on the area and an extremely well equipped kitchen. There were lots of thoughtful extras such as light bulbs and batteries for remotes, which are not commonly found in my experience. The whole place seems to have been put together with real care for the guests’ comfort. The location is excellent for accessing the North Lakes and afforded beautiful views over the Scafell range. The hosts were next door and available if needed, checking in after a power cut in the area and on leaving to check everything was ok. One of the best cottages I’ve stayed in!

The Barn was the perfect location to stay in the Lakes, in a quiet area away from the busy towns/villages. Very comfortable stay and with everything you need to make it your base to explore the area, or simply for chilling during your holidays. The views of the surrounding area from the cottage were superb!
The bed was very comfortable with luxury feather and down duvet and pillows. The coffee machine and fridge with fresh milk in our room meant we could make a decent coffee and tea for ourselves. Breakfast was beautifully cooked. Our hosts Rob and Di were so friendly and welcoming, we will recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to stay in the area.
