The location is above/overlooking the pretty village of Whiting Bay. 5-7 mins walk down a lane to the village.
The hill is very steep so getting back up takes a bit longer with a bit more effort, but we are regular walkers so no problem for us.
7 mins drive/bus to Lamlash and 15 min drive/bus to Brodick. The bus stop is at the bottom of the lane and the service on the island is one of the best we have experienced in our travels around Scotland.
Owners communication was excellent. Including directions on how to get to the cottage by car which was a little tricky driving up a single track/pot holed lane and without the directions I would have never found it!
Really large cottage with front room and back room/dining room area. 3 bedrooms (although we only needed the one, it would be ideal for larger families), As well as a conservatory and a garden.
Kitchen had pretty much every thing we would need for our stay.

Overall, a very decent cottage for a holiday.

Well maintained and organised property, lovely and clean, bed was super comfy, the view is spectacular from the lounge, after a long day walking it was fantastic to sit with a coffee looking across towards lamlash bay. Lee the host was extremely helpful and very kind.

Location was excellent for all amenities, restaurants, shops, sightseeing, etc. especially the ferry. The cottage had everything you could need for a short stay.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
Cottage is spacious, comfortable & quiet, location is excellent, village has all the amenities you need & Brodick is only 15-20mins by car if necessary. Arran is easily accessible & therefore is busier than most Scottish islands but has a great deal that interests me, Machrie moor is a must see and there are many other prehistoric sites worth visiting.
Really comfy well decorated room with a gorgeous view well worth the upgrade price. Shower was amazing, best we'd had all week. Check in was super easy and the whole place had a relaxed vibe. Their sister pub in the next village was also really good.
Beautiful cottage and garden, and short walk down the hill to the village and the beach.
comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, and plenty of space to chill with the good book selection for all ages ( really appreciated) and even the board games were a nice touch.
The small conservatory was really useful to get the last of the sun, and also to dry wetsuits etc
and store gear!
We had a wonderful stay and were sorry to leave! Nan and Rob have created a very special B & B and they are great hosts. They are knowlegeable about the island and happy to share helpful tips for activities. The house and setting are gorgeous, the rooms are luxurious and the breakfast is excellent. Homemade produce and great conversation all added to experience and we hope we get a chance to return one day.

I like the concept of contactless check in and for booking breakfast. Breakfast is served at 2 time slots and caters for al dietary requirements.
We loved our room, it was clean fresh and comfortable. The decor is fitting with the building and Scottish roots.
The location is ideal, there is a lovely village shop nearby and the property looks out onto the ocean.
