The property was perfect . The location is fantastic for access to the area as it’s central to Houghton-le-Spring. The property was so peaceful and relaxing and has everything you need for a comfortable stay . The property is tastefully decorated and furnished and had a lovely homely feel. The host was fantastic and did everything she could to help make my stay run smoothly. Great communication ! I will definitely be booking the property again on my next visit to see family . It's by no means a luxury establishment - more of an American-style motel, given its proximity to the A1(M). But the staff are very friendly and welcoming and are full of helpful ideas. The rooms are fairly basic - but clean and functional. If you're used to watching a 52" widescreen TV, though, you might struggle.

Clean, great access to Durham, Beamish and surrounding places of interest. Short walk to shops and eateries in the village.
Property was spotless, everything you could require was on hand. The host was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful apartment that was very clean and you could tell everything was brand new. Great location within a lovely little village. Host easy to reach if anything was needed, not that we did as everything was spot on.
The room was basic but clean we only stayed one night so it worked well for us and it was very reasonable
The staff were all very pleasant
And the breakfast was made fresh and very good for the price
We would definitely go back as convenient base for our visit to Washington Village
