This is a lovely little 1 bedroom cottage. We thought we would have 2 bedrooms but instead had a hide a bed in the living room. There was a communication issue and we did not have bedding for the hide a bed though that was remedied.....The kitchen was great and there was a washer, though no drier. The wood burning stove was a delight as we had a very rainy, cold windy night and it warmed the house quickly. The owner has a 2 bedroom cottage across the street and we would book that next time. This cottage is perfect for a couple, not great for two friends traveling together.

The location was a bit remote, and very quiet, but that is what we were looking for! We enjoyed the lovely drive to and from the property and the locals we spoke with were very friendly and helpful. The house was very well equipped for our needs, especially the kitchen. This was one of the best kitchens I've experienced among many rentals in our travels, which made it fun for our group of 6 to dine together on our nights in. Two of us in the group love to cook and we found all we needed in the cupboards for prepping those meals.

The village was fantastic and quaint. The perfect point for all adventures on Harris. Breakfast on the go was prepared for us on day one because of the trip to St Kilda, but day two made to order breakfast was wonderful . The hotel staff were the most friendly and helpful people I have ever meet. Thank you for making our stay great!!
This facility was a wonderful introduction to Harris, with beautiful scenery, and good rural walks. Extremely comfortable with some luxury provisions. Our host also offered to cook supper for us which was most welcome, particularly on a Sunday when most amenities are closed on the islands. The location is excellent, near to Tarbert but still peaceful and relaxing. Our host was charming, and a fount of information - Very patient with our many questions about the island.
Enjoyed staying here. The staff were excellent, friendly & helpful. Room was luxurious. Liked the 1st night's dram in the room. Also liked the slippers & dressing gown. Delicious breakfast, plenty of choice & tasty. The adjoining bar had good music & good beer on the Friday night.
This is a luxury staying. Dave and Jane are lovely, and have thought about everything. The location is great and easy to reach by car, the room and the house are cozy and really clean, perfect in the details. There are two share lounges were to relax and enjoy the view of the hills and the sea, the complimentary "welcome whisky" was really appreciated, and the breakfast is superb. It is really worth the time and the trip, we will for sure come back.
The clean, comfortable and luxurious surroundings were complimented by very attentive and friendly service provided by business owners John and Marlene. Each breakfast was beautifully prepared providing the most healthy and delicious home cooked food. The accommodation provided the desired privacy but help was readily available if required. The location offered excellent views and only a short walk from Tarbert.
