The breakfasts offered were great - more on offer than I could want, including vegetarian options. Flexible and friendly owner - checked if things ok. Asked for feedback or if anything else needed. Good amount of interaction
at breakfast, checking I had all I wanted alongside giving me space to enjoy quietly. Some helpful suggestions for getting to the village via a "back route" if didn't want to walk along the road without a pavement.
The experience was seamlessly enjoyable from the start- the hotel is easy to find, the car parking accessible, the reception staff unhesitatingly helpful and the room spacious with a sitting area and luxurious shower.
A lovely cosy and comfortable little cottage set in a quiet and pretty courtyard. It's in a small village just a very short drive from Sherborne and is a good location for visiting other interesting parts of Dorset and Somerset. Very friendly welcome from the owner who had provided a good DIY breakfast. Nicely decorated , lovely big soft bath sheets for the shower.
Breakfast was good. The gluten free granola was delicious. Our hotel room was very nicely furnished, warm and luxurious. We particularly enjoyed playing pool in the evenings and when we came back to the hotel from various trips out. There were no other guests around and it felt as though the pool table was our own!

The property is located adjacent to the Sherborne Abby and a cluster of historic and picturesque village buildings. The area was quiet at night.
I was given a larger room on the top floor which would be suitable for a small family.
