The house is beautiful and lots of details in every room. Nice big rooms that suited all our family members needs . Kitchen is well equipped. We where able to cook and roast dinner for 18 very well .

It was a lovely quaint English thatched cottage exactly as advertised. Owners were very good at communicating etc. it had a great authentic feel with the wood beams and original plaster interior and with a modern kitchen I can’t fault it really. Sitting out front with a coffee in the sun was a peaceful way to spend and hour reading on a Sunday morning.

The clever conversion was cosy and comfortable. I was sad that it was warm and I had no opportunity to light the wood burner. I may go back in colder weather just to hunker down and be cosy. Everything you need is there including some supplies in the fridge. The quiet location was ideal for exploring the area.

We needed somewhere to stay on our way North after a trying long haul flight and this was perfect. The staff were relaxed and friendly and the facilities clean and luxurious enough to fully replenish us.
The location was excellent too and we were well placed to explore Saffron Walden after our hearty breakfast.
It was all great, we were there for Christmas and arrived to tree and fairy lights, a seasonal hamper and Christmas music. Very luxurious, perfectly places in a quiet and ancient street in the middle of Saffron Walden ... very close to the main car park. And great garden and nearby walks for the dog. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming.

It was perfect for a relaxing private retreat, bed was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, the kitchen was equipped with all essentials for an overnight stay, garden had ample seating and relaxing areas, with plenty of space, BBQ Pizza oven and Hot Tub, all needs catered for.
Wow, The Dovecote had everything we needed for our stay. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this was the perfect romantic little getaway to give us a break from everyday life.
We enjoyed lovely walks in the countryside, drinks at the local village pub, breakfast at the local cafe and days out in Saffron Walden. It was truly bliss, returning to the Dovecote in the evenings!
Quiet little village setting, beautiful grounds to a lovely thatched cottage but yet also close enough to local towns and attractions. Modern newly built apartment and comfortable. Welcomed by the dog, and then lovely morning love daily for more fuss - such a character.
