Everything was fantastic. It was quiet and comfortable with lots of amenities. The dark skies at night were a bonus as you could see so many stars. The owners provided very good communication before arrival, so it was easy to find The Bothy. It was close to many points on Hadrian's Wall and the Falconry Center, so we had a blast exploring the area and flying raptors. We loved it and would stay again.

it was very cozy. Log burner in the living room (I would recommend bringing your own logs). Shower had great pressure. Double bed was very comfy. Very clean and tidy.

The hotel is beautifully appointed and very luxurious. Bedrooms comfortable and clean. Super views from terraces. The staff were all very accommodating especially Isaac and Callum in the bar and restaurant.
This Hotel was so lovely! The staff were all incredibly attentive and our every need was met! The rooms were spotlessly clean and really luxurious. The bathrooms were also very lovely! The spa was quiet and relaxing and the food was excellent! Will be back!
The hotel has been exquisitely renovated. The attention to detail is amazing. It still retains its original historical features but with a modern twist. It is simply beautiful inside and out. Very luxurious bedroom.
Fabulous luxury hotel, lovely interiors and setting. Food excellent and staff and service very good. Arrived after a long journey and day competing at Belsay Horse Trials, to be welcomed with a glass of fizz and shown to a wonderfully quiet comfortable room (with my favourite Penhaligon toiletries) and they even kept the restaurant open for us to have dinner. Didn’t have time to test out facilities, but would definitely recommend for a return visit.
