Everything. Incredibly clean and well stocked with beautiful and luxurious furnishings. The garden is well maintained and safe with lovely views out the back.
Much more than your average B&B, it was a real pleasure to stay at here. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and decorated in a style befitting a Victorian villa with many authentic and attractive features. Jo, the owner, was so welcoming making me feel very much at home. Breakfast was all you could wish for. Although the weather didn't allow for it during my visit, there was a large garden for guests to use, and the location was very convenient for walking to shops and restaurants.
Just loved this hotel, the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. It is not a luxury hotel but it met every need we had and we thought the staff made it exceptional.
What an absolutely beautiful cottage. Luxurious yet cosy - it was just stunning. All the little extras were a lovely touch and we couldn't recommend more highly.

I liked the fact that the owners obviously want their guests to enjoy their stay by providing accommodation to exacting standard, a friendly welcome, many extras in the kitchen and bathroom and are willing to provide what they can (garden access for dogs, bike storage for example) to make a stay at Mains Retreat memorable and repeatable
The location was so beautiful and peaceful.
The cottage it's the pictures just don't do it justice. It's so spacious and luxurious a real home from home vibe with everything you need.
Mains Street Retreat is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, with lots of little details thought of. Treats for the dog and treats for us included. It is equipped with everything you need to make a perfect stay. Tina, the host, is very friendly and welcoming. Great, quiet location. I highly recommend staying here.
