We left early, so no breakfast was required. We loved our room and the friendly greeting on arrival. It would have been helpful if we had had a map instead of just the postcode for the village. We had to ask for directions there (not for the first time, we were told). Plus, it would have been helpful if, on the B.B. sign at the top of the road, it said about one mile ahead. We pulled into a farm on the way down to ask, 'How much further?' Other than that - thank you for a lovely stay, and we hope to see you again.

Staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Exactly what you would hope for in a hotel. The breakfast was very good. The rooms and hotel overall was very clean and rooms were well equipped. The location was perfect for us- right next to the A74 for our onward journey but quiet and peaceful setting at the foot of a small village. Cosy bar with Staropramen on tap! Reasonably priced.

Friendly host- very attentive but not overbearing. property is very old and needs some refurbishment but has character. Bedroom was big and spacious and bed very comfortable. No noise in morning even though room overlooks main road through village. We had an evening meal and breakfast both of which were excellent

Lovely hotel on ideal little village that may not have the views other Scottish hotels have (hotel can’t do much about that) it’s ideally located for travel to wonderful sites. The owners were the best & most welcoming I’ve ever encountered - & I’m not over emphasising. They’re so friendly & genuinely accommodating in all senses of the phrase.

Very good location if you want to break your journey travelling from south England to west coast of Scotland, as I did. Will use this hotel again. It’s just the right size of hotel on the outskirts of the village. Friendly staff, good service and good value for the price I thought.
