This cottage is quite a special find. We were blown away by the location right beside the river, there is even a small waterfall if you go behind the woodshed. It was so peaceful and beautiful and the cottage is big and has everything you could ever need with lots of quirky antiques. The aga cooker and roll top bath are lovely luxuries and it has a very comfortable, warm atmosphere. It really is like living in a faerie tale cottage in the woods with the stunning Ness Glen accessible onsite and loch Doon and Dalcairney falls were beautiful too. Our dog loved it and we really didn't want to leave.Scotland in the woods by a river, don't forget your midge spray because you will want to sit out in the garden relaxing to the sound of the river because it is blissful.

The cottage was beautiful and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable with crisp bedding and feather quilt and pillows. It was very well equipped with everything you could need. Brilliant shower and a coal fire. The surroundings were exquisite and very well kept. Amazing walks on the grounds.

We booked to stay for a work event. We would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are in the area, especially if you are an animal lover. Cat is an exceptional host, very welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean and within 5 minutes of arriving my daughter was bottle feeding baby goats! We were working long days so didn't spend as much time as we would have liked at the farm but the hot tub was perfect to unwind when we did get back!

Great pod very warm and great views, very peaceful in the afternoon. We were lucky to have a clear sky and be able to clearly see the stars. There's almost no signal and obviously no wi-fi so it's a nice retreat. Really nice walks around.

Lots of places to visit and great walking and cycle routes. Don’t forget to visit Dalmellington Country Butchers in the village, the quality, selection and low prices are amazing.
