The Dairy Cottage with hot tub & pizza oven, hotel in Crawley

Located 18 km from Hever Castle, The Dairy Cottage with hot tub & pizza oven provides accommodation in East Grinstead with access to a hot tub.

The size of this place is so impressive and yet oddly doesn't feel too big for two people. It has a superb layout with great characteristic features. Amazing kitchen with a nice big oven. The upstairs lounge is very relaxing. The WiFi worked fine but the welcome book needs updating though, as the WiFi information is not current. Typically we got good old UK weather (plenty of rain), which turned the rear garden into a muddy pond. This sadly stopped us from using the hot tub, as the ground was so wet. Had the weather been better we would have definitely used it.

Our room was tasteful and clean and modern and comfortable. The breakfast was good. One of the serving ladies at the breakfast was a lovely girl and chatted with my wife. The environment was close to countryside which was nice and not a busy road, although quite close to the airport. Getting to and from the airport is easy enough. There are some interesting villages near the hotel (unexpected). It is great you can check in any time. The check-out man was helpful in calling us up a taxi and helping with our luggage.

Fantastic welcoming and helpful staff. Really nice people. It is not a luxury hotel but the accommodation was clean and comfortable and the evening meal was OK and good value at £12:50 for 3 courses.

Very grand on the arrival, beautiful and luxurious but understated and that’s a compliment! The staff team excellent, very expedient and professional. The restaurant staff were amazing and took excellent care of us. My partner is very particular about food but the Chef delivered to perfection! It was a pleasure to just get away for the night. The room was spacious, modern and very clean. We loved the sofa and we were happy to just relax and watch some TV in peace and quiet.

I needed decaffeinated coffee - a new jar was there. I hope others can use what's left so it's not wasted. There was plenty of milk in the fridge, not these fiddly UHT pots that some hotels provide. There are coat hooks so coats are separate from other clothes. The room was at a comfortable temperature so I was able to sleep really well. The large rug was luxurious and pleasant to walk on. There is generous and level gravel on the driveway and car park.
