perfect tranquil location within easy walking distance of lovely ballater. Dog friendly and good immediate local woodland walks. A great base if you want to sightsee, go walking or cycling on / off road. The hosts were very pleasant and the accommodation was very clean and well equipped. Also had a dishwasher which was nice. Parking was easy too with lots of space to do so. Price was really good for standard of accommodation

The location. Enclosed garden for the dog. Spacious open plan living area. It didn’t detract us from the property but would have liked to have seen a measuring jug & some mixing bowls.

A super place. Clean and comfortable room. Super views. The owner is very helpful including helping with bird identification! Lovely breakfast and easy walk to the centre of the village.
We loved our stay at Ivy Cottage! The location is ideal as it is in the center of the village, near restaurants and bars, but still very quiet. The house is very cute, the room is cosy and comfortable, the attention to detail makes it perfect. Our host was lovely and her breakfast is delicious. We will recommend this place to our friends!
It was a lovely cottage with full of character and personal touches. Jennifer was a very kind and attentive host who made sure we were comfortable and felt at home. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit being prepared every morning and a choice of three breakfasts. We enjoyed spending time in the living room where there were plenty of games and books were provided by our host. The property itself is walking distance to pubs, restaurants and cafes in the village. We've had a fantastic time and would love to return.
