This property is excellent! The owners are extremely accommodating and it is by far the best place to stay in the area. If you want somewhere to stay before or even after your flight at Stansted it is absolutely perfect and I can guarantee you will NOT be disappointed. Even for a weekend or even a week break it’s excellent accommodation. Book it before this gem is discovered and you can’t get in !!!

Brilliant. Used it as a base for gigs we were doing in Hertford and London, and it is fantastic. We will be back.

Great location, accommodation was excellent, very clean smartly furnished.
Good value.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
It wasn’t as “luxury” as it looks in the pics but it was convenient, the owners were v kind and even lent us a phone charger and the kitchen was perfect to preparing easy food. The bed was also really comfy.
Dee was amazing, we were running way later than expected and she was accommodating and helpful. The hotel was very easy to find.
The village is beautiful. Would highly recommend
It was so lovely, clean and welcoming. The room was very spacious and felt very luxurious too. Our stay was very comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Although we didn’t get to use all the facilities the fact that the hotel had them available enabled many ways of keeping entertained should you wish to spend the day at the hotel. The staff were very helpful and pleasant at all times. The location was excellent for our requirements, being tucked away with all the peace and quiet you would want but within easy reach of many towns/villages and attractions.
Beautiful 1622 mansion. Restored to perfection, felt very privileged to be able to have stayed in such an historic beautiful building, gardens lovely, staff very very helpful and friendly.
We loved the bespoke Art Deco styling using high quality materials and finishes. Kitchen/diner with great facilities and lots of different food to chose from. Comfortable beds. Convenient location for onward travel or a local stay. Good village pubs and shops nearby.
Authentic unfussy place, friendly staff, obviously not a luxury stay but I really liked it there. Essentials were all top (bed, shower, tea), good breakfast options five minutes walk away, station ten with direct trains to London and Stansted airport.
Room was spacious, not luxurious but had everything we wanted for a pre airport stay. Bed lovely and comfortable and bathroom/shower sparkling new. Parking very close and only have to pay until 8.30pm with early morning departure. Location superb on High St lots of restaurants. Easy drive to Stansted in the morning.
