Beautiful house with tasteful decor and very homely. Spotless and extremely comfortable. Would have loved to stay longer but hope to go back in the future. This property certainly is a little gem right in the heart of Biggar.
This vacation home includes 2 bedrooms, a living room and a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dining area, and 1 bathroom with a bath and a washing machine.
Country Nest is located in Carnwath, just 25 miles from Murrayfield Stadium and 26 miles from Edinburgh Zoo. This vacation home features accommodations with a patio and free Wifi.
Perfect for families, groups, or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while traveling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, free-standing mansions – travelers can cook, lounge, and explore at their own pace. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
I loved the warm welcome we got when we arrived. CHarles and Jane were very nice. Nothing was any bother. After our breafast on 2nd morning we had a lovely conversation about music and all the various events that are held in the village. We are planning a return journey to stay a little longer. The town has a couple of pubs restaurants cafes and hotels. Plenty to see and do. B&B at No 4 is a must
The property was fantastic, underfloor heating and wood burning stove perfect for our stay in December, particularly as my mum has a lung condition so needs to keep warm. The hot tub also fantastic and I’d recommend this place as a lovely romantic retreat too! We were staying as had a wedding to attend at corn hill castle and this place is only 2 miles away.
This is a nice place in a nice village, dog friendly and with the possibility of eating in for dinner. We stopped for one night on the way to Aberdeen and I will consider doing it again as the village has a few restaurants.
The location was perfect for us - within a 20 minute drive to the wedding venue. We also loved the little village of BIggar - very warm and plenty of nice places to get food. The house was impeccable - it felt like someone's very loved, incredibly designed and extremely well-cared for home.
Every time I thought 'I could do with...' I would find it in one of the cupboards or drawers. We felt very at home and sad we were only staying for 2 nights!
Hotel is obviously old but was clean and fresh, the room we had was lovely and clean and well equipped.
We stayed the night before a wedding, there was a group of us nd we had booked dinner for 8 people, then other family arrived so we increased the table size, then another 4 arrived and the hotel kindly increased the table size again, considering they where fully booked and clearly busy they were very helpful and accommodating.
Nice place, nice staff and nice little village, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again,
Excellent location, for local produce and a quiet get away! All the local pubs and restaurants (including the kirkstyle, obviously!) sell local meats, eggs, etc.
The breakfast at kirkstyle is fantastic! One of the very best!!
It's a wonderfully remote location away from the cities, but such a busy bustling village. There's always something going on 😍 and this hotel is a wonderful stay for comfort and location. Stayed 3 or 4 times now and always have a fantastic time!
Traditional Biggar stone villa with rear extension. Sheltered courtyard nice for afternoon scones. We were in the Albion Suite (triple room) - large double and small single room - comfy beds and quiet, funky wallpaper. Great breakfast - extensive hot menu with the best poached eggs ever- Eggs Florentine with fresh baby spinach set me up for the day.
Loved everything about this place, from the luxurious looking rooms to the beautiful grounds to walk round. The staff were so friendly and accommodating (fussy eater here so wasn't sure I'd like anything for dinner and they were brill). The rooms are lovely and clean and just so gorgeous and the restaurant is just stunning! I will absolutely stay here again (soon!!)
