Dunnaglea Cottage, Ballintoy, hotel in Ballintoy

Just a 13-minute walk from Ballintoy Harbour and 0.8 miles from Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunnaglea Cottage, Ballintoy features accommodations in Ballintoy with a garden.

We absolutely loved our stay in this cottage! Kate greeted us with fresh scones, and left a vase filled with roses in the family room. All of the rooms were beautifully decorated and were comfortable and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed watching the sheep behind the patio, and the easy access to walking paths, including into the town of Ballintoy, which has a wonderful pub with great food, and along the water to the Carrick-a-rede bridge. Although we didn’t get a chance to walk to the Causeway, I understood it’s about a 12 mile walk in the other direction.

The house was very cosy and had everything we needed plus more! We loved the warm homely feel and the ammenities available to use. The ammenities on hand helped us relax and unwind as we were able to head away for a quick break and some quiet alone time together as a married couple.

This place was perfect for us. It was cosy, easily accessible and clean. I slept in the chair and couch with ease and the beds were perfect. Shower had enough hot water for the three of us. Close (I mean really close) to a gas station for needs and coffee. Only downside was traffic noise, but that was minimal and did not interfere with our rest. Close to everything we needed as we traversed the island.

Spotless clean room and bathroom. Very friendly owner 😃 who makes you feel like at home. A short walk to the village or to the harbour, you can also walk to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. The Irish breakfast was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this place. Plenty of space for parking.

Super clean and cosy room, we slept so well all night! Bedding and towels clean and fresh. A great breakfast selection ( the wheaten bread was to die for) and the ulster fry was outstanding! Dinner too was delightful, we had mussels, the bacon chop and sticky pudding. All superb with a great Guinness and Irish whisky. Service was top notch and i loved everything about this cosy Inn and the little village! A true taste of Northern Irish hospitality!

Everything was great, greeted on arrival and Donnach, was very friendly and down to earth.great breakfast in the morning in a lovely dining area. He and Tracey, we're great hosts and they have plans to add more facilities in the future. I would certainly go back again and highly recommend a stay there. Balintoy was beautiful and the Roap Bridge restaurant in the Village was excellent. Well worth the trip and great value for money. We got a great insight into the local area from Donnach and his vision for the future of the business.
