The cottage is very well equipped and everything supplied from bedding, towels, cleaning items, washer, dryer it’s like home from home. Although not a picture there is a lovely dining area in the kitchen which makes it very sociable space ideal for families. The house is very warm and Gill the host is very welcome and nothing is too much trouble, would highly recommend and we would definitely stay there again, the only downside is we should of stayed longer 😊

We had an extremely warm welcome, a traditional inn that serves good food. Suited us perfectly. We visited the Churnet valley heritage Steam railway, visited the Ramblers Retreat. It is in easy reach of Alton Towers and is affordable.
The only issue was the bar had started to run out of drinks due to the golf event, and when we got to the pub food finished at 7pm. HOWEVER they kindly agreed to cook a few pizzas for us. There are no options in the village.
Well equipped and comfortable apartment in a quiet village.Well situated for Alton Towers and countryside walks around Alton in the Peak District and the Derbyshire Dales.The beer garden was great to have a drink at the end of the day ovelooking a well kept comminity allotment..It is a great community pub.
Property was in a lovely wee village. Great village pub serving food. Nice walks and great area. Perfect location for visiting Alton towers - only a few minutes drive.
Very light and spacious yet cosy and comfortable. Host Gill was very helpful and even got some milk in for us which was much appreciated after a long drive. Beds super comfy and a travel cot with mattress was provided on request all made up and our little boy slept in it all night. great back garden space. Alton Towers right on the doorstep and Alton itself is a beautiful little village with nice amenities, pubs, shops etc.
We’ve just left after a night here, what a beautiful home! From the decor to that facilities to the host - everything was brilliant. The facilities are fantastic and are fully equipped- the hosts really have thought of everything to make a homely luxury stay.
We left wishing we had longer here!
Location was perfect for alton towers and was a lovely little village. The owners of the bnb couldn't do enough yo help us on our trip.. the bnb was wo nice spotless and comfortable
