5 of us stayed at La Douce France for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The house is really spacious and you can see the effort that has gone into providing everything you could need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well kept and the pool, garden, bbq area mean you can spend full days there in the sun. The house was clean on arrival and off-street parking is provided. No shops nearby but only a 20min walk to Chinon which has plenty of restaurants and boulangeries, and cycle and canoe hire.

Very nice appartment in walking distance of the center of Chinon. Friendly owner. Very clean, very good bed. Nice kitchen and some coffee pads are provided. There is a washing machine. And there is a bicycle shed at the end of the alley. It’s not locked. So bring your own bicycle lock.

Lovely cottage with quiet surroundings. Mina and Thierry are great hosts, we were welcomed and shown the place. It is nicely decorated and you can see that much thought went into stocking and decorating it. We immediately felt like home and have really enjoyed our stay. There is a garden opposite the house that can be used as well. The place has everything you need.

Fourteenth century building but with twenty first century facilities. Marvellous. Lighting is little subdued and being a six footer a little bending is required for the bathrooms but overall top notch. We have to mention Chantal, what a super host.

It could accommodate seven of us reasonably comfortably. It is quiet. The photos give a true picture of it - nothing super attractive, but serviceable. Plenty of hot water. The couple who provided us with the keys (owners or caretakers?) were pleasant; they speak no English.

La Villa is lovely B&B.
The front of the house is framed by a charming garden. Rooms are well considered and very comfortable. Breakfast is generous, with quality, fresh produce…I also enjoyed an evening meal here which was delicious.
And the owners are warm, welcoming and helpful.
Free and easy access and parking. Just a few minutes from the village. Descent size apartment with 2 bedrooms, although being it's on the top floor the ceilings are very low so reduces the size
Florent is a wonderful host. He made sure our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. He has done a magnificent job renovating a centuries old building, which now has lovely, inviting indoor and outdoor spaces. The location is terrific because you can walk to everything in the delightful village of Chinon.
This is one of the most pleasant places we have stayed in during over 60 years of travel. The location overlooking the river Vienne is beautiful with nothing but the river and forest to look out on. The house is a grand 19th century mansion. Jeanne is a delightful host serving delicious breakfasts and could not be more friendly and helpful. She has fairly limited English but will chat for hours in French. Chinon is about 6km away so it is in easy reach and has a fair selection of restaurants.

Our hosts were exceptional, the property was beautiful and very well situated close to the railway station and the centre of town. Large rooms, beautifully kept and comfortable, with a breakfast of local produce each morning. Hosts went above and beyond at every opportunity.
