Very friendly hotel in a fabulous location in a very pretty village near to the beautiful Azay le Rideau Chateau. The staff couldn't do enough to help us. The room was very well equipped with a fridge and a coffee machine.

Great location, in the heart of the village, a few minutes walk from one of the most beautiful chateau in France. Very clean, thoughtfully designed room for disabled travellers (my husband is blind), very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, easy access via lift. Didn't have time to explore the rest of the hotel - we had breakfast in the village - but beautiful old building cleverly modernised.
A l'Ombre d'Azay is a gem hidden behind a gate, so you can park safely, which is always nice as we stayed there on the way to the Atlantic Coast in France. Behind the property is a beautiful garden which was fully in bloom. The room was comfortable and clean with a nice view. Azay itself is a cozy little village in the Loire region close to a lot of chateaus which beg to be visited.
Warm and practical welcome that included phone directions to find the place in the village’s maze of one-way streets. Excellent breakfast. Nice people (very!). Lovely peaceful, well-equipped room. Decor charming and in keeping with the building. Wish we were there now.
The hotel was lovely. Right in the center of the village. Everything was comfortable and very clean. The staff was outgoing and helpful. It exceeded my expectations.
Fabulous location for an authentic French village. The rooms are spotlessly clean and nice. The private carpark in the rear of Hotel, was an extra bonus (especially in high season). The receptionist is a very helpful, polite, provisional person.

The host Francois was friendly and helpful. The location was great, easy walk into local village and well placed to explore the Loire Valley by bike and car.
