The ambiance and peaceful sorroundings , The authentication of the rooms ( spacious and very luxurious bathrooms ) and the place in all aspect.
Breakfast was very good and delicious.
and of course The Host is very accomodating and helpfull in all our needs and we got a 2 rooms upgrade without extra charge
The swimming pool made it extra nice.
Great location in the real french country side in a beautifull mansion, warm wellcome from the owner ,rooms really nice with new bathroom. And cherry on the cake , the dinner was perfect,in the park with a very fine cooking.

Well, it's a tremendous location, and it's a lovely old mill building with the wheel still in place. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a reasonable size. Avallon, two miles away, is a lovely large old village with lots to see. You can get some good walking from the hotel, though you have to look for that for yourself.
We loved our stay here and both the breakfast and the home cooked meal we enjoyed were great. It is very peaceful and a great location for seeing the countryside and nearby villages ( don’t miss Vezelay or Montreal ) but you do need a car
Excellent host!! Due to the heat we notified the host that we would arrive 2hrs earlier than originally booked. When we arrived she was there with her daughter frantically cleaning the property and made us most welcome to come in and cool down.
Beautiful, well equipped property within walking distance to village.
3 toilets (1 each floor) makes it easy for groups sharing.

it’s a pub and it’s basic but the staff and the location are perfect! Don’t stay here if you want luxury but it’s a perfect stopover and the staff could not be more helpful and welcoming! would definitely return!
