Some of the trails are within walking distance (starting near the Kilpisjärvi Visitor Center) or even right behind the house, and some are just ~10km away (e.g., Saana trail, Pikku-Malla, and Three-Country Cairn). Tromso is about 2.5 hours away.

Absolutely stunning cabin with everything you could possibly wish for.
Jacuzzi was lovely on a picturesque front balcony, beds amazingly comfy and the sauna was perfect.
We came to visit this small village in the hope of once again witnessing the northern lights.... and we seen an incredible show 2 nights on the bounce a perfect location sitting outside on the front.
The house was extremely warm even tho outside it was -32 degrees.
Loved our stay will book again in a flash!

The cabin is so comfortable and cosy, has everything you need. Super warm shower, comfy couch, great underfloor heating, little kitchen with all the essentials and a big TV with Netflix, Prime etc. Wi-Fi is also excellent. We felt at home straight away. Shops etc in the village are a couple of minutes’ drive away, as are lots of hiking trails.

Very nice and comfortable private luxury cabin with huge (tooooo large??) TV-screen, own small kitchenette, and easy parking. The extra-cost breakfast (7 euros) was very good and had all the essentials. The room was very quiet and private.
The location was in small village on the border with Norway, perfect for viewing the northern lights.
The food was gourmet and impeccable. The staff very helpful and friendly.
The hotel offers daily activities.
The hotel itself was very well appointed and every detail was well thought out.
The beds were a bit soft for my taste, but that was the case for all the hotels we stayed in Norway and Finland.
It was nice to have a sauna, a fireplace and a nice little kitchenette.

Our two-week stay in Kilpisjärvi was nothing short of magical. This cabin exceeded expectations with breathtaking views, frequent Northern Lights displays, and a cozy interior. The hosts were responsive and hospitable, making our experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful retreat in nature.
I arrived when it was dark, so in the morning, the nice views to Saana fell were a big surprise!
The bed was comfortable and I loved there were many different pillows.
I did not cook but kitchen seem to be well equipped!
I loved the speaker that you can connect to via Bluetooth and listen your own music.
Even if close to the village and road ypu feel away and there is enough darkness to ser the northern lights from your balcony.
In general, very cozy, comfortable, modern, warm and clean!
It was our second stay at Tundrea. We stayed in a traditional log cottage. This cottage had a sauna and excellent power shower much needed in the freezing temperatures. It had all the mod cons including an electric drying cupboard which is something we have only found in Finland! Located between the village and the lake. We enjoyed the northern lights over our cottage one night. Great place to stay.

We stayed in one of the deluxe villas, it was absolutely stunning, we watched the northern lights dance above while cosy and warm in the cabin and then woke to fresh snowfall! I cannot recommend the property, location and the hosts enough, definitely one we’ll remember.
