United States
To start with, the owner was incredibly nice and generous to offer help before my arrival as I battled heavy thunderstorms on my bicycle (I'm an American journalist doing a series of articles on cycling in Portugal and Spain for several American magazines). But I'm too stubborn to call it quits, and cycled to home. I was lucky that he was standing outside the home, and called my name as I was looking for the address in the pouring rain (trying to use Google maps in the rain is almost impossible on a cell phone as the display goes erratic).
Home is large, and much more than I needed (traveling solo). WiFi works great, has washer, kitchen, tv, patio, pool, etc. I used just the one bedroom (of several), and it was comfortable ... I like it when I can look out at the street.
Near several markets (walking distance)
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
This was the very best rustic hotel in our driving tour round Spain.
The location was spectacular amid the mountains of Extremadora, the hotel was relatively new and the care and attention to comfort and style exemplary. The infinity swimming pool overlooking the mountains with pool service was so very peaceful and relaxing. We’ve stayed in many luxury hotels and this was amongst the best. Excellent value for money.
A sensational find on our driving tour of Spain. Rural luxury. Room and facilities were excellent and the lunch, dinner and breakfast were excellent value. I especially enjoyed the way breakfast was served. It offered none of the usual Buffet style that is served in hotels but a more eco and less waste approach. The pool was stunning with amazing views towards the lake and valley. We watched numerous eagles fly over. We would return definitely if we are in that area again.
