We absolutely loved our stay at La Cueva. Hans has created a quiet, spacious oasis a quick walk away from the beautiful Playa Playita beach and main street of Las Galeras. We loved the location, the neighborhood horses, and the cute street pups that escorted us home from town each evening under the stars. Definitely book here if you're looking for a unique property near all the things Las Galeras has to offer. Truly a magical experience.

This is one of the most beautiful beach locations in the world (and I've seen alot of beaches). Stefano and Moreno are awesome hosts, the Playita beach a few minutes walk away is gorgeous, great vibe, chairs with shade, clear water. Great value, well-equipped home, beautiful water view from the patio and inside the house.

Stunning sunset view, host David is very kind and helpful, he even makes arrangements for a speedboat to the suites, beaches that are only accessible by boat, Fronton Beach, Madama Beach, Hidden Beach, Ricon Beach, Playa del Amor (Tour guy Daniel). Sunset Samana exceeded my expectations!!!

I loved this little hotel with cute villas, luxurious rooms, great looking bar that serves as a reception, the area is nothing but the most beautiful nature you have ever seen, the owner comes to greet you. I wished I stayed more then one night.
Location, tranquillity, weather, possibility to see whales from terrace,amenities, housekeeper Margo makes amazing local food, house guardian Enel brings fresh fruits and coconuts every morning. Hans is very knowledgeable and helpful host. Perfect escape for big family or group of friends to little corner of paradise.

Very attentive staff. Receptionist answered all my questions and was very helpful and also the guys at the bar were very nice and fast with the delivery of the food which also was a big portion for a good price. The Villa was spacious and every room had air conditioner. I aleays use the BBQ here and the guts at the bar help you start the fire and provide charcoal! This has been my second stay at chalet tropical and all i can say is this is the best place to enjoy as a couple or with your family. Will surely be back again!
Congrats to Ulrich for being such a host! He gave us plenty of information on what to visit and how to get to various sightseeing locations.
The hotel is pretty close to the Las Galeras beach as well to the beautiful Playita beach. Next to the hotel there's a groceries store (if you like mango, watermelon). Whe the power went off in the village, luckily the property had its own generator as well as its own water pump.
Rooms also had terraces with a nice view over the garden and pool.
Amazing location in a quiet village. The scenery is beautiful, there's a distinct french-carribean vibe to the property although it was mostly serving older german couples :)
