Amazing property. Markus has built an awesome place to visit and enjoy just outside of Quepos. Our house, the San Antonio 2 bedroom, was a little rustic but very comfy. Nice beds, nice shower, plenty of room.
However the room isn't the point of this property - it's the land. The private jungle and trails are just as nice as the national parks, but much less crowded. We saw an incredible number of frogs, including poison dart frogs, Toucans, birds, huge spiders, and even a Neotropical river Otter - which Markus hadn't even seen before! The trails are quite well maintained and well marked. The river and trees are amazing as well.
The pool is also spectacular - our kids loved it. The Cabana next to the pool was a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast as well. They even provide some food such as bananas and mangos grown right on the farm!
Markus clearly loves the land and the property, and has put a ton of effort into creating a beautiful place to visit - he was also a great host. Happily answering our many questions and providing information about the different species of animals around.
A really, really unique gem that my whole family enjoyed. Do yourself a favor and book this hotel.

The property is divine!!! Private and across a tiny street from the beach. There are monkeys and iguanas and all sorts of birds who are around all day. The place was spotless when we arrived and there is a caretaker and his wife who can meet your every need. Sylvia was readily available for questions and any concerns we had.

Our stay at Riverside Villas was amazing! We stayed for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The property has everything you need, including a pool and restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. We got to see lots of monkeys, birds, and lizards.
I loved having a full kitchen. This was my second time staying at Villas de la Selva. The view is absolutely amazing and you have just what you need. I also love the pool! It has a real deep end. Monkeys come to visit every afternoon! I highly recommend this property!
The Riverside Villas were in a very quiet area natural area away from traffic. The grounds and rooms were lovely and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and A/C cold. We enjoyed sitting on our deck and watching and listening to nature. The pool was so refreshing from the heat at the end of the day. As a bonus, they have a quaint and delightful restaurant on site which served excellent breakfasts and dinners. But most of all, we loved the owners and staff. Carlos and his son Charlie made us feel so welcome!
The Villas are cute and very nicely located, from a location perspective and from a view perspective. Rooms are not fancy but with very good air condition (very much needed) and big nice shower and bathroom. Staff were helpful and breakfast was tasty. You have all the main attractions close by and monkeys often come to visit between the trees and as you get to see parrots and other beautiful birds flying along.

Carlos and a Charlie and family are amazing hosts!! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They made hanging out at the hotel totally fun and having breakfast and feeding the squirrel monkeys who came to visit one of the highlights of our trip! Wonderful experience.

Everything! Location is close to El Avion restaurant and many other restaurants and bars. The villas are tucked away in the jungle with monkeys that will greet you morning and night. Beautiful lush facilities and great bungalows. Very comfortable stay! I would highly recommend. It is a newer resort, family owned! Carlos and his family are excellent hosts and prepare fresh food for breakfast and dinner.
We were in one of the villas and for a family of 5. It was perfect for our 3 night stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the air con was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We loved sitting around the pool area, having a swim and chilling with a couple of drinks.
The onsite restaurant food was excellent, we ate there twice. Also the breakfast in the morning was very good. It sets you up for the day.
We were lucky to see the monkeys up close.
