What a wonderful experience. Cynthia truly understands how important is to feel welcome once you decide booking a place: the house is beautiful, cozy, full of warm details and the view is marvelous. We didn't have luck and it rained most of the time so we were glad that the house was so welcoming and well appointed for staying in. Definitively worth to go through these tricked ways arriving here and feeling like you're coming home. The neighbors are respectful of your privacy and it's nice to have people around just in case. You won't miss anything in Cynthia's home. So very grateful for all your kindness and care, looking forward for a next time!

We just stayed one night on our way from the caribean side to Monteverde and did not expect to stay in such an exceptional accomodation. The owners were very welcoming, served a tasty healthy breakfast personally in their beautiful villa with so much history. We spent a wonderful morning in the lovely big garden with many birds and their nice and well educated dogs. We can recommend this very special amiable apartments.
A beautiful old mansion set on a huge property with vast lawns, a creek and a section of rainforest. Antique furniture, original artwork and an eclectic mix of ornaments throughout. A delightful place to stay prior to a flight.
Lovely gardens, quirky rooms, really welcoming staff and good food. Suited well for a family of 5 - a couple of the villas were interconnected. The pool area was really nicely maintained.
Hortensias Chalets has a very good location to visit the Vara Blanca area, the villas as beautiful, very quiet and the staff makes every effort so you can have a great stay.
The location was amazing, very safe and quick walk to Barva center. Hosts were very nice. The house itself is an old mansion and one of the most beautiful houses I have ever been inside! And you cannot beat the price at all, a very good deal for how close it is to everything.
